Big Erick just gets the nod for me. Weird game given how crazy I went at the end when Rogic's screamer went in and we got the win yet for 90 minutes up until then we plodded along without doing too much in front of goal. Main positive apart from the obvious is again we looked solid defensively.

I'll take late goals anytime, Celtic have won many games in the past in the last
moments of games, we always played to the final whistle

    Huge goals too.

If Ronny goes I don't want Lenny back, carries two much baggage, he left because of
threats to himself but mostly to his family and it would be the same again, it's a no
brainer, get a Celtic minded person with passion for the club.

    Agree to the lennon part.
He also left due to the restrictions we put on our managers these days and felt he couldn't take us further under those circumstances.
He may be back one day, but not soon.

I do always keep swaying with wanting to keep ronny or not.

He is exactly the sort of manager we should go for (well, on the cheapest end of it). Scottish managers/celtic minded ones generally wouldnt bring in the training, fitness, diet, emphasis on youth etc.
But then they do bring passion, desire and sometimes a sound knowledge to build a squad. They are however limited in how far they can take us.

We tend to do well in the league, then play like a Dundee normally would against us when we hit Europe. 10 behhind the ball etc.

I like the idea of taking the game to Europe, the ajax game we went toe to toe. Be it we had guys like Ambrose and izzy that let us down there.

Again inter last season, great way to take the game to them and deserved to go through. Luck against us.

Id never think we would play that way against them under lennon or Strachan. And neither of us could say what would have been either way though.

Anyone know what happened at The Garage yesterday when everyone was heading up to the train station ?

I just caught the tail end of it seeing the police chasing fans out The Garage and swinging the batons about.

great post sums me up aswell

hate us having an inferiority complex when we play in europe whether it is real or imagined,

what good does it do to admit failure before you even start against european teams and nationally as scotland!!! in the respect that we try and scrap our way to a result defensively but it does seem to be a scottish trait, i fukn hate it

and by failure i mean almost all the time when we play against the chex, the belgians, the dutch even the lesser known spanish teams and italian teams we always look technically inferior and the other teams start to dominate us we are celtic ffs we should have basic abilities and be able to compete on a level playing field on the park

i dont know why we in scotland think football is running about all over the place at 150mph in an undisciplined manner being over physical to hide the fact we dont attempt to learn the intricasies of the game of football ala passing moving skill and technique

    instead of bargine about

obviously im talking scottish traits in the whole scots setup at least celtic try and play football and try to be skill full it would help if the rest of the country would atleast try and employ footballers with some talent instead of arseholes who like to kick people

    and breathe ..... :56:

That inferiority Complex is what done us in the last qualifying rounds as a nation.

Strachan seemed to go in to the Georgia/Germany double header with just the Germany game in mind. Ended up playing aginst Georgia as if it was (practice) Germany
Got beat, then surprisingly enough we played well against Germany and seemed unlucky. Should have taken that game to Georgia

It was a shocking performance on Saturday. We had no idea on how to break Kilmarnock down, and we were far too pedestrian with the ball. It was basically a carbon copy of the 0-0 game with Dundee a few weeks back, but with a wonder goal in there to bail us out and save face. There were signs in the second half against Partick that we were possibly getting back on track, but Saturday was awful. Delighted to get the three points, and with Aberdeen blowing it, it's all over bar the shouting now. All it does though is paper over the cracks.

Whilst I'm not happy the way we are playing, sometimes winning a game like that at the end is way more sweeter than blowing teams away.

As someone said, the celebrations whether it be in the stadium or in your house are far better and satisfying for me when something like that happens.

I think that will be the goal/game that seals the league ,i'm sure it must have had an effect on the sheep as well, they would have found a bit extra if we had drawn that game.

was a very frustrating game to watch, teams just set out to draw against celtic home or away now a days, was delighted when we scored though don't think ive celebrated a celtic goal with such excitement in the last 5 months.

media had a part to play for the blame of that in my opinion few tabloid headlines of Scotland has a hoodoo against Georgia etc, if the press where more positive in this country Scotland would do a lot better in qualifying rounds. look at England they don't have a team of superstars but their media act as if they can beat anyone and they always make the finals
