The bolded part should be stapled to the website header to wind up Hun lurkers.

I want the Scottish Cup. I don't feel any extra hype to this game than if the semi was against Dundee United. I can't take them seriously as a club. This is treated as a must win because it's a cup on the line and there is a quality gap that requires us to, not because it's sevco.

Of course it is a must win 100%. I dont think I could take the shame of it if we didnt win. No joke.

I know where you're coming from but let's not get silly. I could handle a defeat to Dundee United. It would hurt like a * as every other Cup defeat does, but you take the good with the bad.

If we lose at the weekend it would be up there with the most devastating results we've had in my lifetime. I genuinely can't think of a worse one off the top of my head and I don't even live in Scotland. I don't know a single Hun in person. Malmo this year was * * awful but I think a loss this weekend would be worse.

Anyway, I genuinely don't think there's much hope for them luckily. We are miles better. As long as the pitch is playable and the ref isn't a complete hun, we will win.

If its just another game for us, why the mad scramble for tickets, and the posts in this thread, do not get me wrong it should be, but its far from it.

Hampden's pitch and the referee is one of the SFA's. We'll win with those conditions no bother anyway.

The way folk go on about sevco is starting to get a bit of a pisstake, seen folk saying "why would I go and watch a game against sevco" or "why is everyone wanting tickets?", try because its the * Celtic in a cup semi. As well as that, try as you might, they might be a new club, new entity, new company, whatever, at the end of the day, the feelings are still there all the same.

Call it strange, but I kinda really want to win every game no matter who the opposition is. As long as it's a competitive game my "want" for us to win doesn't really vary all that much. Can't see how people can say Rangers fans want to win this more, as it'd imply a lot of our fans wouldn't care if we lost, which I do not believe for a second.

It does not imply that at all. If we played Barca in the CL final next season we would want to win it more than their fans would becuase it would be one of the biggest days in our history but it still does not mean that their own fans would not be gutted if they lost a European final. Of course they would. Sevco are not even in our division and they are playing the big dogs. It is a bigger game for them than it is for us.

No, if Barcelona were in a CL final they'd want to win it just as much as any other CL final they were in. The quality of their opponents would not make them want to win the CL less than they usually would.

Neither set of fans want to lose this, both want to win it. Just because one is in a lower division and has less quality doesn't mean their fans want to win it more. That just doesn't make any sense. Just because we're a tad more expectant, doesn't mean we want to win it any less.

    Exactly.

The denial of most Celtic fans' obsession - in one form or another - with Sevco, this 2nd tier club we supposedly don't care about, is embarrassing.

Nope. It would be more special to our supporters because it has been 49 years since we won it. Most of the people who remember it are or soon will be pensioners while most of Barcas supporters have seen them win it several times very recently. Sure it would hurt them but the game itself would be more special to us.

In terms of the sevco fans this is the equivalent of a European final to them beating us in this game will be the best moment in most of those supporters lives supporting the two rangers's.

No hun, not a single one, wants the win on Sunday more than me.

I know I have plenty Celtic fan beside me as well. Any suggestion to the contrary is pure nonsense.

    I disagree.

Here's my tuppence worth: Last year I wanted to humiliate them, destroy them, dominate them and show them who's boss. This year, now that they're obviously better than last, they've got a bit of confidence. I want to beat them even more than I did last year.

Are the 11 "supporters" who voted we'll lose taking the * or just genuinely deluded?

Even though its been a long slow build up, only tonight did it actually give me 'that feeling' i used to feel so often in the past.

Trying to be logical about it, i cant see how they can win, but its like that 'pride before a fall' thingy, i am actually nervous about being confident, just in case!

    Cant wait now though!

PS.Havent checked, but is it ET and penalties if a draw?
