It's the same as last time, a month before a game relaying a pitch is * retarded. The pitch will cut up to * again.

Just realised iam down at craig tara that weekend for my sister in laws 18th there's roundabout 10 of us away, if I watch it in the big hall in there can see me getting lynched was down there a few years ago an watched us play caly in the league an was getting dirty looks for my crazy shouting off of a few locals. Hate Ayrshire think only Larkhall could be a worser place for me to watch a game against that new club.

Watched Rangers a few times this season and concur that tavenier and wallace are their main threats along with waghorn if fit. They are a much better outfit than last season- we have regressed. Still think we will beat them but over the next 6 weeks the players and managment need to start bucking up their ideas and get into some sort of form because play like we did against hamilton or dundee and we could * this game up.

Celtic vs The Rangers, Scottish Cup semi-final discussion thread

I don't feel optimistic about this for the following reasons:

Celtic's form this season is patchy at best, and any team that can hit us on the counter with tricky wee players can get at us. Rangers will camp in and counter attack and we've shown time and time again that we cannot deal with being attacked from the counter-attack.

I also think that this 'their player is not as good as our player' thing is bullshit. It's a cup semi final. Everybody is up for it. How good the players are is not important in the semi-final. It's who wants it more, and who has more to prove. The season Celtic have been absolute bottle merchants. We don't show up for any big games.

All of that said, how we play between now and then is the most important thing. We must build up a head of steam and show Rangers that we are the better team, and have them fearing us as they come into the game.

It's also absolutely imperative that we have a settled defence before that game. With no * Ambrose and no * boyata near the team.

I'm not really confident going in to this tie either, yet again they have nothing to lose but yet we do.

We have become spineless bottle merchants, they have a bit of feel good factor about the place and they think they're on the up.

We have far superior players in terms of quality but we look such a mess and continue to make the same errors over and over.

I think given its still a good 5/6 weeks away, we have the time to get the finger out our arses and get a solid run of victories under our belt. I think that given Aberdeen are running us close, could be a good thing because the players will be determined not to * this league up. We need to, as a support, get behind the team. Regardless of how we feel about Ronny, jc, jk etc...we HAVE the better players, we are top of the premier league, we are the favourites, the fact this mob of imbread * think that they are comfortably gonna do us riles me right up. On the day, if we have a solid referee performance, we will be going back to Hamden in May. Cmon the * bhoys in green

This is exactly how I feel too. Not confident at the moment, despite what the bookies might say, I make them slight favorites for the reasons you have alluded too. But yet, if Ronny selects the right team, and gets some more wins under his belt, it could become problematic for them.

I have a good idea of the team I would play against them barring suspensions injuries etc.

The only thing I know for sure about this game is there is no way possible that lot can be any worse when we played them last season, they were so awful words are hard to find.

Despite all the * flying about, we should win this fairly comfortably but under Ronnie I fear any sort of result is possible including the dreaded one, throw in our poor record in recent Hampden semis then I don't think anyone should be cocky about it, I don't fear them in any way, I only fear our own set up and how it will perform as in previous big games we have inevitably went out with a whimper on nearly all occasions under this guy
