GMS: "Since that defeat (Celtic 8-1 Hamilton) they have gone on a pretty decent run."

GMS: "We knew they were a good side and are more than capable of putting results together so it was pleasing to get that result."

GMS: "But I think it’ll be a different game scenario and they will be right up for this one so we’ll need to be right at it too."

GMS: "We scored early that night and created a lot of chances early on and managed to take them all, which was pleasing. "

GMS: "It was 5-0 at half-time and it was one of those nights where every chance we got seemed to go in, which was great for us."

GMS: "It was a good night but Hamilton are not an easy team to play, especially at their place, so it’ll be a tough game on Friday."

GMS on recent form: "I feel good. I came back into the side against Hamilton and since then I’ve played quite a lot of games."

GMS: "I feel really match fit and good in myself, contributing into the team so long may it continue."

GMS: "You feel a little pressure but at Celtic you know you can be in and out of the team "

GMS: "You know that if you’re not performing there is always someone to take your place so I just had to bide my time."

GMS: "The team was playing well and was winning and it’s quite tough to get back in the team when you’re out."

GMS: "So I just need to be patient and work hard and if I got a chance again then I just had to take it and thankfully I did that."

RD on the future of James Forrest.

RD: "The latest is we offered him a deal and he rejected it." (MH)

RD: "Of course, we want to keep our best players but it's not like nothing will happen now - you never know in football."

RD: "He has rejected it and we have to take that forward, and we know that he has one year left on his contract."

RD: "I haven't talked straight with Jamesy about these things. Been a part of our squad for many years, and we wanted to keep him."

RD: "An issue between the club and the player. We got a no from an offer which we felt was really good and we have to keep going."

RD: "We have stretched this along in our opinion, but you never know in football."

RD: "We will see now. I have told you what the latest is and we will see what happens during the season."

RD: "We have other players who aren't on long contracts and they are here to do a job for Celtic and we keep going."

RD on being asked if Emilio Izaguirre has a future at Celtic: "Of course he has. We can't have one full-back."

RD:"A great player, very tough competition on that side. Everyone can see what KT has done but everyone respects what Emilio has done."

RD: "We know we have two very good full-backs so he (Emilio Izaguirre) is a player we want to keep."

RD on Hamilton pitch ahead of Friday's fixture: "Was slippy there, have nothing against artificial pitches but has to be good quality."

RD: "We have seen different games there and people have been slipping and that's not positive for football."

RD: "I expect a tough game. They have picked up since we beat them last time and they have done better, especially in defence."

RD: "We need to open them up, create more chances and score more goals but we also know they can hit us on the break and at set-plays."

RD: "We need to be focused and prepared."

RD: "We are working every day to get 90 minutes out of it. What was good last week is that we ended the game very well."

RD: "If you go through the season, we have started well and done well to 60-70 mins and then dropped a little."

RD: "Was positive we ended the game well, but we have to keep up our good starts and make these good periods as long as possible."

RD: "This is a game we need to perform and get something out of it, and if we do that then we will have done our job."

RD on performance of last week's subs: "With such competition, they know they have to do it on the pitch and they were positive."

RD: "They created things and it's very good as it makes it harder for me."

RD on potential #UCL changes: "Of course a worry for the club but we have these things in good hands."

RD: "There are people very experienced at the club in working to make the best for Celtic."

RD: "Will give that responsibility more to them as I have to concentrate more on the team but important in bigger picture for Celtic."

RD: "It's called the Champions League so hopefully the champions are there, or else they would need to call it something else."

RD on team news: "Saidy is back in training now so just Simunovic is out and the rest are in good shape."

There should be room for personalities in football . Room for honesty and straight talking . I would love him to come out and say " we battered these 8-1 last time so we are hoping for a comfortable 3 points ". There's no point even doing interviews with players , its just all cliches and stock answers . Tabloids are to blame .

That's when we loose. Any time we've said something bigging us up it just set you up for a fall and adds more pressure. There probably giving lessons on how to deal with the media to try avoid anything like that

Yeah I might be wrong but I seem to recall Ronny saying Ajax and Fener were going to be tough games but when we played Molde he was confident of the 3 points? Didn't even watching their video :smiley-laughing002:

If it was Barca or Bayern I wouldn't watch the video but Molde we should have had a wee gander, see how they got so lucky.

Players might be happy because it's a Friday night and they've got the weekend off if they win? Or maybe the Allan, Christie and Roberts have been picked

I'm sure it happens now and again, the board get a bit nervous because when someone starts being candid the media try their damnedest to lead them on and start asking increasingly intimate questions about the club until they've got them saying something nuts.

So it's the media's fault really. Of course you get guys who are just too candid and they club stops them from doing it again.

Just the nature of media that it's become asinine because it's so easy to say something that might cause a bit of invented tension.

Players should slag off other clubs and players on a more regular basis though, it reflects the fans interests if it's done in a bit of jest.

EDIT: Jeezus I didn't realise I just made 3 posts in a row. Sorry about that. I would ramble on far to much in an interview :smiley-laughing002:

To be fair if the right games are chosen and not much travel is involved for the away team these games have had some great atmosphere's and been fun to watch.
