Not as bad as some think - put the razor blades away folks :50:

We've got Sviatchenko, Paddy Roberts and the main man Kaz Richards in today :icon_mrgreen:

Evident we need to get oor fingers right out of arses if we are gonna finish the league on a high and get prepared for CL qualification next year.

Goalkeeping situation is fine - with Gordon, Bailly and Fasan
Left back is sorted - Tierney is an absolute shining light, and is holding the spot as it's own ahead of Izzy
CB - Simunovic is settled now, and hopefully just need Sviatchenko and he to build a decent partnership, with Boyata chomping at the bit, and Efe......well......just being efe
Right back - Lustig looks like his former self, and Janko can't be that far away from a come back, then there's efe :icon_mrgreen:
Midfield - more than covered (although I think we're still crying out for a dominant DM) Broony is back, and will be like having a new player, Bitton is still classy as *, Johansen looks like he's gaining some form back, Mackay-Steven gaining form also just in time for Paddy Roberts coming in to offer competition, Armstrong needs a bullet up the *, Rogic looks a totally changed man in midfield (for the better), McGregor has been useful recently, Forrest is just Forrest, plus Allan and Christie are here to try and stamp their mark on a starting place, and of course there's Kris Commons - still PLENTY left to offer us
Up front - right, wee Griff has been the almost sole breadwinner for us in terms of goals from our forwards, Carlton Cole has loads experience, just needs some fitness and get up and go, Kazim Richards may JUST may turn out to be a player who can inject some passion and grit into the forward line - even though he's not one we all wished we had signed, Ciftci is offski, as are his wages.

    Bring on the sheep.......

It was good for a January transfer window. A decent centre-back, a decent young prospect for 18 months and a eh.......nutjob by the looks of it who might do well here.

I think expecting 5/6 signings every transfer window is a tad unrealistic, our squad is pretty big as it is.

Excited about Paddy Roberts and big Kaz. Not convinced Ronny Deila will get the best out of either but we'll wait and see.

Good transfer window, no Dundee United players in sight and a quality CB in Big Erik, 12 million pound player in Roberts and a wildcard in Kazim

It got built up so high to getting in Ely and Ajer, then settle for an 18 month loan who does look an exciting player but still a loan and Kazim * Richards.

    Parenthood has turned you soft.:smiley-laughing002:

It was pish. Sviatchenko is good, getting a guy on loan is hardly earth shattering. He's cracking but is not mini messi we have for a year here.

    And now Kazim Richards man?

Ajer would have made it acceptable and that isn't even asking for much.

Them alone would have been immense.

Know never to get my hopes up and yet I always do. :54:

I just read what ILTC was saying about Ajer - might still be on, could negotiate with him after the deadline and give them minimal compensation - has PL written all over it.

I think the Roberts deal is cracking. We would struggle to keep someone with £12m worth of talent here for much longer than 18 months anyway

I would hardly call it pish mate, certainly not as good as it could've been, but still some really decent positives to take.

Got rid of two - albeit on loan - Stokes and Cifcti, with hopefully wee Nesbitt heading to Partick for some top-flight experience.

We are desperate at CB, and big Sviatchenko LOOKS the real deal, we need time for him and Simunovic to build a formidable partnership.

Roberts - so what if it's a loan, it's having this lad here for a year and a half - a player who could potentially make big noises in England - we have him here....now!

Kazim Richards? As I say, time will tell, but we really do need some more bite in this team, only offered by Broony.

As for Ajer - I personally do not know a * thing about him, so I'm neither here nor there on not getting him. Fletcher was never coming here, and possibly we should have went for Elhoonesy (or whatever his name is), but we didn't, so.

This is the area i am worried about. I feel there is too much emphasis being put on griffths. I think diela will be playing one up front and having more attacking midfielders playing.

I cant see him playing two players up front which we should really get round to doing
especially since cole and richards cant play up there on their own

We will not be going to 2 up top on a regular basis.

    We have Griffiths, Cole, Kazim and to an extent, Christie, with plenty of attacking support coming from the 3 behind whoever is up top;
