Even so, there's a reason why the guy has been punted on loan five times in the past six years or so.

He's gash, and is as far from a "big game" player as you could possibly get.

A gash player who has played over 40 game's for Turkey, and played at a high level in Europe for big club's and in the Champion's league/Europa..

He clearly wasn't 100% fit here and was only bedding in. He's anything but gash, as he showed in glimpses..

To be fair, Rogic only got on the park because Johansen was injured with 5 minutes to play, and he should have been starting. McGregor was another who should have started along with Sviatchenko. Deila's team selection was shocking.

If he's an international level player who's worthy of playing at the very top of the European game for big clubs then why has he been * about at the likes of Blackburn on loan?

And why is he * off to some no-name * Brazilian outfit? Surely a player of the level you're describing would have alerted the attention of European level clubs when it was made clear we'd told him he could * off if he wanted?

We signed him from Feyenoord but you pluck up the less attractive name if it fit's..

Why wouldn't he go to Blackburn? The championship is still quite a high level packed with Internationals, who we'd struggle to attract...or afford..

Has he not gone to Brazil as his missus is Brazilian? Not a bad place to wind down and finish a career ay?

I'm with McGuire here. CKR is by no means a quality player and to be honest, I'm not sad to see the back of him at all. But he's nowhere near as bad as some people make out.

Strong as an ox, held the ball up well and brought others into the game. Had a bit of dig, something that most of our players could do with. His finishing let him down at times but he scored a cracking goal against Hearts.

He's not Hooper, Griffiths or Stokes level. But he's miles better than Amido Balde, Bangura and he impressed me more than Scepovic. I know it's hardly anything to shout about being better than those guys, but I think people give Richards a hard time, unfairly.

Wind down?!? The guy's not even thirty years old yet!

Look, for all this chat about his European-level quality he did * all when he was with us, and make no mistake, if a decent EPL side wanted him he wouldn't be "winding down" at the age of 29 playing for Curitiba.

I expected * all when I heard he'd signed for us, and he delivered on that.

Get him punted, free up the wage and hopefully forget he was ever here.

Aye, a player like him, losing his pace and coming in to his 30's, is probably thinking about winding down. Big deal..

So because he didn't do much with us (with little game time), means he's *? Righto..

As I said..... Good luck to the big man..

If Rodgers plans on using a back-to-basics target-man, then on his day CKR's about as good as we could get at the minute, but he's been inconsistent for us, and I'm not convinced Rodgers will be looking for that kind of player.

    It probably tells you all you need to know when you read how this forum reacted when rumours of him signing for us came to light;

    Pish!! :smiley-laughing002:

    Glad he's offski...

Whether he's still got it or not, he didn't do it for us, like too many recently. Too risky to keep.

    Thanks and bye.

No more itinerants and journeymen please Brendan!:50:

Considering he's considered to be a forward, I think his career goalscoring record settles it! :smiley-laughing002:

Honestly McGuire, I admire your charitable nature and positive outlook, but the boy was *. He'll not be missed.

I would agree with that. He is no super star but he is hardly dreadful especially considering some of the dross we have signed to play up front in recent years. His spell at Celtic may well have been as brief as it gets. But for me he performed ok and gave his best and I wish him the best in Brazil. Hopefully we get a decent sum for him.

The fact that we're commending a guy who's paid thousands of pounds per week because he "tried" and "gave his best" is a sign of how far we've come in recent years.

His goalscoring record is * abysmal, and he did * all whilst here regardless of the excuses some are wheeling out for him.

Cheerio and good riddance to an impostor of a striker. The guy must have some * agent, that's all I'll say.

Whilst I fully agree with this, I still like the * :56:

Glad that we've shifted him and Scep though. We've got Ciftci to go as well for me.
