A nuisance isn't what we need when we're trying to break teams down domestically.

I admit he'd have his uses away in Europe if you were holding onto a result bur a battering ram isn't going to help us break down Dundee or St Johnstone.

Pretty much sums up my thought son him.

I think he gets a very hard time on here, lets be honest 20 min at end of every game isn't enough for any player to make there mark and he has never been a goal scorer in his life so giving the guy 20 min to prove him self isn't gonna be fruitful in terms of goals.

What Richards does offer is hold up play, anyone that says he doesn't hold the ball up well and lay it off is blinded by apparent hatred of him or of Deila but they just wanna take it out on this guy, back to goal this fella is far better than Cole or Ciftci and we got him on a free.

If he was given a run of 5 games with Griff up top I reckon we'd see an entirely different player, he wins headers and he holds it up well however as a striker he doesn't score enough goals which at the end of the day he will be judged on so bringing him on to put up front on his own is never ever going to get the best out of him.

He's a passionate player and has shown he wants to work hard and get involved but he is never going to be a goal scorer so chances are it's not gonna work for him here but he isn't nearly as bad as people make out on here.

I agree with that. Although to be fair, last night I thought it was creativity in the middle of the park that we lacked. Didn't have anyone on the pitch who could cut Dundee's defence open or get a goal out of nothing. We missed Rogic that way, and how McGregor and/or Commons didn't get on was beyond me.

Biggest problem for me is that when he comes on and we resemble a 4-4-2, Griffiths disappears. No link-up between the 2 at all and CKR just fannies around gurning and chasing after his first touch

My point is he hasn't had enough outings.

Yip, he isn't a goal scorer and I didn't want him either because of that. He has a much better pedigree than the likes of Ciftci who he replaced though and he has also showed he is better in the air and stronger on the ball.

I'm not willing to call CKR useless based on 20 minute cameos. Is my point.

I think he has something to offer if used correctly. Not a long term solution but a definite option.

I think you answered your own ponders Paul. I think he can offer something in the shape of 20 minute cameos against a defensively packed team where maybe the aerial option is the better one. I don't think he's a starting player and I just don't see goals in him, more so when the balls on the deck. I think a full game of him shooting and missing would only end up him shooting and missing more. Keep it to the cameos and play to his few strengths.

Impossible to answer my own ponders, we need to see him playing games for that to happen.

He definitely isn't a goal scorer though, that much is certain.

He's the type of player where the focus goes to the 3 behind the striker to provide the goal threat, he'll hold the ball up and drag defenders about, it's up to others to exploit that space. Commons would thrive playing behind him, he's the only one who picks the gaps currently.

Rogic's coming on a fair bit at that right enough.

I think he can do a job for us in the SPL, in europe though i wouldnt be to confident of him changing a game or offering much. I think Stokes offers far more if we are to play 2 up front. But in the SPL for sure if we have a lot of games he can do a job in the league and cups.
