Okay assuming it is indeed Rodgers. What do we expect to see?

His Swansea team were all possession, tiki-taka-esque style and it worked for them. His Liverpool team stated off that way, but they developed a system around their players, they were a real good counter attacking side.

So what will we get? the tiki taka? the counter attacking? both?

With our new backing from sports direct we could push the boat out a bit more. Exciting times indeed

    Both.

People say he is all about the easy on the eye possession football, which he is, however he is an adaptable manager.

He switched between 3 or 4 formations at Liverpool to suit the players he had. Domestically I'd probably expect a 4-3-3 or 4-3-2-1 here with the players we currently have.

European wise * knows. He will need to assess the squad first.

This. At Swansea he was initially set on a 4-3-3 and it worked well. However when he got to the Prem with Swansea it became apparent that his side lacked creativity.

He then brought in Sigurdsson in January, an advanced playmaker which meant he had to change his formation to fit him. He went to a 4-2-3-1 and they finished comfortably in mid table.

Cheers man. Legend indeed and an inspiration to Mr Rodgers himself!

Mentioned a week ago that Desmond was willing/aware that he had to fund the wage demands of the likes of Rodgers. Sure he also subsidied the Robbie Keane loan deal a while back.

As to how he can do it, I'm not sure. Maybe a loan agreement.

I'll be surprised if he's accepted the job with only £15m to spend, that's not much more than what we'd spend usually.

If you go by what sources online say, we spent about £7m in transfer fees alone last summer and that's not taking wages in to account. You'd imagine the wages would probably take the figure above the £10m mark so £15m isn't an astronomical increase. I'd have thought that Rodgers would want a lot of backing to take the job.

Aye if the £15 million is transfers and wages its not too much more than what you'd expect, if its £15 million just for transfers thats more like what I'd have expected for Rodgers to take it

He should get £15m plus whatever he brings in. Maybe there's someone stupid enough to buy Johansen.

I don't think Rodgers will be all too concerned with his budget as opposed to his wages. He knows he's not going to get to splash £5-10m on anyone.
