I think Desmond is one of these guys who gets what he wants, and I personally don't see him making such a claim of having a manager in place in "the next 4 days" if that man hadn't already been all but appointed.

Rodgers IS the new Celtic manager!

On about Peter Houston being the new manager. It's just his * posts, same as in the Rodgers thread saying "Rodgers is *, he destroyed Liverpool, Malky for me"

Garbage posts I can't be doing with.

Aye, the fact he put a timescale on it, means the manager has been selected already in my opinion. If that is the case, then it has to be Rodgers I think.

I also think that a manager such as Rodgers would respect the fact that it is Desmond who seems to be doing the interviewing and trying to go after the manager he wants.

I think it would help persuade Rodgers that bit further. Let's just hope we soon see him holding up a Celtic scarf on the club website. :celt_2:

I think it's pretty clear we have held talks with him. That much is certain I think.

I'm pretty sure he has already said he wants to get back into management in the summer. So if he does have to walk away from that, he would have already known this. The figure I wouldn't be taking as gospel though.

TBF he wont be short of a few quid as it is so 10m will probably be a drop in the water to him so giving it up wont be that big a hit as everyone thinks IMO

I also read that he stated he wanted to get back into management but also read he rejected a £7 mil payoff, not sure why he would do that if he was looking to get back into management, must be bored lying on the beach.
He is also fav for the next England manager's job, maybe he has an eye on that, win the champions league with Celtic and walk into the England manager's job afterwards.

He's not a billionaire so 10m will be a big hit. Although Liverpool can't stop him getting a job for 2 seasons surely. They'd have to come to a settlement. Afterall they ditched him.

On gardening leave he is still under contract so if he takes up a new position he is effectively resigning and won't be entitled to a payoff.

Off topic, kind of. But if he's on '100k' a week, * must klopp be on ? They sacked Rodgers to bring this guy in after all.
I'm not buying into the figures spouted here.

He might be a fan of their delicious apple turnovers - who isn't?

It means Houston Dynamo being on the brink of losing their manager as Owen Coyle emerges as a candidate.
