To be fair that's probably the most positive headline regarding Celtic I've ever seen in that paper, seems an odd thing to get raging over.

    MGM, it would though.

Highest paid in our history is MON who was paid nearly £35k (including bonuses). So this is suggesting we are paying more than that!

No manager in Scottish history, never mind Celtic's history has been paid that much!

Not raging at the headline, just that the rag is getting the attention it is requires. I havent seen it in here for a while and didnt miss it.

    If he arrives, great.

I cant imagine Rodgers or Moyes coming here for less than 50k a week....and i cant imagine them being offered less than our manager of 15 years ago, so for me its a non headline in a non paper.

It's a copy and paste job, it's not been linked, so it gains * all really. Putting the picture up iz much better than linking to their site.

I hate the paper myself but at least this way they don't gain any additional traffic through their site.

I couldn't stand Rodgers while he was at Liverpool (but maybe that was cause I can't stand Liverpool), so now I kinda hate it that I'm quite excited at the idea of him being appointed.

Especially since we might just end up with Yogi Hughes in the end.

:87:If Celtic get and make Rodgers the highest paid manager in Scottish football they will slash the cash and give him the necessary money to bring in quality players, that's a
no brainer, Rodgers would not take the job if that was not part of the deal,. the future
    is bright. Hail Hail :60:

Every * has their pants in a twist about the next manager.....we need to stay grounded.....look what happened last time.....a guy no one seem coming...not even the media.

We are celtic and its been 15 years since we went out and got exciting managers and players......i for one am not expecting much.

Dermott Desmond, someone who very rarely, if ever, has spoken to the media regarding the vacant manager's position, and has said we expect to make an announcement in the next few days, whilst it's common knowledge we have been in discussion with Rodgers on a few occasions now. It's hard not to get a little bit carried away to be fair. Nothing would surprise me with the board though, but I do think we have pushed the boat out this time and got Rodgers.

Exactly I think he is making it known that it is him who is pushing the boat out and backing the next manager and wants the accolation if as he expects we pull it off. I think we have all had a suspicion that when Sevco were back in the league we would all of a sudden have cash to spend and probably bring in a well known manager. Its looking as if we were right but until its announced and I see it with my own eyes it is best to keep grounded.
