I guess you don't get to where he is in life & business by aiming to be "not bad" at what you do.

    * right they are. You not hear the Clyde 1 football phone-in last night? The pundits were basically willing Rodgers to not take the job! :smiley-laughing002:

"Quick! Some * phone in and ask about Joey Barton again!" :56:

Convinced it's Rodgers, Desmond's little * up saying players instead of managers shows the question flustered him a little - that with the nice little grin afterwards.

I will keep the air punching for someone who deserves it rather than someone who spunked away £300 million with nothing to show for It.is getting someone better than Mowbray, lennon, ronny really something to celebrate or something that should have been done a long time ago

My only worry with rodgers is he is similar to ronny in terms of how he likes to play which is fine in the league but in europe anytime weve been successful in recent years its because weve been pragmatic in our approach and rodgers has never been one to change his style to get a result which has its good and bad points.

This is all about us and getting it right, but......make no mistake, they really are desperate for him not to get the gig. You boy's were on about Clyde, i heard the same on BBC Sportsound... Other's are mentioning it elsewhere. I'm confident whoever we bring in will see us to at the very least, 6 in a row. Getting BR in though..... That signals domination on another level, completely blowing every other Scottish club back a few pegs. That's what's majorly worrying them..

Rodgers isn't afraid to switch formation mid-match if he's got it wrong he'll fix it which I like about him

When DD says 4-5 days he means formal announcement just prior to opening of the AIM Stock Exchange on Monday morning. There will be no announcement during the middle of any business day or over the weekend as they are governed by releasing information which can have an effect on the share price and trading.
It doesn't have to be Monday, but if not prior to market open on Friday, then Monday would be next available opportunity. So the 4-5 days is not 'off-the-cuff', it is strategic. Which probably suggests they are close in principle with a candidate and dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
'Leaks' however are a different thing - but these will be neither confirmed nor denied by anyone in official capacity with Celtic until the AIM announcement

I genuinely think we are capable of playing that way against European opposition, particularly at home. Deila's teams have shown they've been capable of passing the ball and playing in an attacking way against teams of a similar or even slightly higher quality to ourselves, it's just been mental and defensive frailties that have cost us getting better results.

When we face a Bayern, Barca or Madrid, then it's a different story.

It can be done with the right style of football though PSV, Salzburg, Sparta Prague, Basel have all done ok in spells in Europe recently with more attacking open football. Even Legia who knocked us out played good stuff.

Look, your only suggestion thus far has been a 64 year old guy who left club management after being sacked over three years ago.

That may sound harsh, but O'Neill's time at the top of club management is over. Rodgers is young and has some exciting ideas on how the game should be played.

Only two years ago he was challenging for the EPL title while O'Neill was sat at home.

I wonder what the reaction would be now if we picked Moyes.
