nobody will know more about Brendan's payments than Brendan and how much he stands to lose if he loses any at all and despite these rubbish claims he has still been interviewed twice so clearly its either crap reporting or working again comes before a lazy pay day.

Not sure i like the part where he says we've interviewed and discussed and the next step is to decide and negotiate.
OK Brendan we've interviewed you, discussed it, and decided we want you. Now here are our terms and conditions.................
Brendan says, "are you * kidding me"
    OK Malky we've interviewed you............................

    Can picture that discussion now.

DD: You'll have to forego some of that tasty annual bonus you're getting Peter if we're going to bring in Brendan.

PL: Maaalky, Long time no hear pal. Anything planned for tonight....or say the next 3 to 4 years?

If we're honest, Liverpool sacked Rodgers because they knew they could get Klopp. He was appointed less than a week after Rodgers got the boot, so it was already in the pipeline.

He's been described by Steven Gerrard as the best "one on one" manager he's ever seen, and he's highly thought of by Jose Mourinho, which has to count for something.

The fact is that only two years ago he was challenging for the EPL title with Liverpool, and now he's a serious contender for the job here, which is * fantastic.

You say you don't get the excitement? Exactly which level of manager are you expecting us to get? You think we should hold out for Mourinho?

An announcement in 4 or 5 days? If the manager wasn't already selected, he couldn't really put a timescale on it. I think it's a done deal with someone, and going by the meetings, it would mean Rodgers you would think.

A can't take another 4-5 days or misguided pish bookies changing odds speculation popping out everywhere, I'm bracing myself for the old trusty we tried speech but we're delighted to announce an up and coming pile a mince or maybe even Lennon which they will say who better than someone who knows the club so well and has already had champions league success ZzzzzzzZ

Judging by DD comments , looks like it'll be Rodgers. How can they make that conclusion just after the sources say Rodgers is the favourite. Get it done Desmond!!

I'm also of the opinion that it's a done deal. With either Rodgers or moyes. He wouldn't have said a timeline, if he didn't have his man. How could he possibly know how long the negotiations will take ?

He looked very much like the cat that's got the cream. Can only be a good thing, surely.

How ironic would it be if we got Rodgers, a man sacked by a club who buys all Southampton's good players only for him to join a club that sells all their best players to Southampton.

    I thought that earlier :smiley-laughing002:

Maybe we'll get another shot of Van Dijk after he's done his time at Liverpool.

Hope so... But it could mean there's a short list.. With the board considering all (ie cheapest project) it's options..

Lambert and Lenny duo? I'm prepared for some sort mixture like that!

Too many disappointments since MON.. So not allowing myself to believe this one. (Sorry for the unusually negative vibes dudes:icon_mrgreen:)
