I'm at a stage where Moyes would even be slightly underwhelming to me and I originally had him as my first choice.

Have my heart set on Rodgers now.

You could very well be right on that one, mate. I wouldn't doubt it.

What I don't think though, is that we'll be footing the bill for that amount. If he wants to sit home until 2018 then that's his call, but the longer he's out of the game the harder it'll be to get a top job.

By 2018 he'll be the forgotten man of management.

What we can either do is try to reach a settlement with Liverpool before signing with us, or he can jump back into the management game. It's his call.

He said just recently that he wants to get back into it this summer, which suggests to me that the severance package he has, may not mean a great deal to him.

If it's Rodgers would Lennon come back to be his number2?,can't see any clubs queuing upto get him after his spell at Bolton.Knows the club the players could be a good partnership.

Again it's hard to decipher the context these were said in, to me they look like the were sent to a friend in jest.

eg.‘I hope she’s looking after your needs. I bet you’d love a bounce on her falsies.’

When talking about the female agent - Carly Barnes (get her googled!)

I was born in Ireland but moved over here at a young age and regularly get Paddy/potato jokes from my pals because I tell them I consider myself to be Irish. Conversely I had a pal who at TITP came out with some pish that he was "racially jewish", because his Granda was from Israel and as a result gets jibes about being tight with his money etc.

If someone was to look at any of these comments in isolation they'd potentially look offensive, when they're just light-hearted banter. The world's gone hyper-sensitive.

    But aye we're going off-topic here :smiley-laughing002:

Rodgers has his own backroom staff although after being forced to sack them at Liverpool maybe there not on great terms

As I said, the longer he's gone from the game the harder it'll be to get a top job. Who's he been linked with of late?

He apparently fancied a return to Swansea, but they weren't interested, and he's not been seriously linked with any other top jobs down south.

I also read that he's generally disliked down there, considered to be full of himself and not as good a manager as he thinks he is. The English only like arrogant and confident managers who aren't British.

I like his attitude. He thinks he's the best manager in the game, and there's * all wrong with that.

I don't think Lennon would take being number 2 having been number 1 at the club for four years previously.

I like him too, I think a bit of arrogance can be a good thing. It's weird though, I agree with an article posted here the other day, some of the things that Rodgers gets slated for, some of his "cringeworthy" comments etc, If it was Klopp who was saying it, they'd all be lapping it up. There is a completely different attitude toward foreign managers.

I also think that after a few years of having "nice guy" Deila at the helm we could do with a right arrogant * who thinks he's the best in the game, and thinks that we're a huge club deserving of a manager of his stature.

It's about time that we got back to being Glasgow Celtic, and started reminding these other * in the Scottish game and our media exactly who we are. They had their fun taking the * out of Deila.

I miss the days when we had a manager that every other * * hated and despised seeing doing well.

Ronny seems a lovely guy, but I agree with you. Time to get that arrogance and swagger back. Someone people hate because he knows he's good and they know they can't better him. I think Rodgers is that man

Colin Pascoe guy was apparently an impressive coach. Players spoke well of him.

Loves a good pair of shorts.

From that, Rodgers is first choice. No doubt.

Exciting times, * won't be able to take the come down if its anyone else but Rodgers now :shamrock: having a manager of his presence at Celtic Park would certainly give the club a much needed boost in all aspects from attracting players to getting the club bouncing again with belief we fans deserve

What this does tell me is that the board are at least trying to bring in someone of Rodger's stature, which makes all the difference for me.

Now, if Rodgers prices himself out of a deal or decides to sit back and keep getting his Liverpool payment, that's fair enough, but at least we're offering managers of his ilk something serious enough to have them actually come up and talk.

Being an arrogant * is all well and good but you have something to back it up with ,don't get the excitement surrounding Rodgers at all I think he would do alright but Liverpool are paying him £10 mill not to be their manager that says a lot

Don't get your hopes up, then you can't be let down.

I'm fully prepared for Keane or someone alike to be announced. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
