He saw Rodgers meeting the daily record team opposite where my cousins mother works. Thats my info anyways.

Am I the only one not overly excited by Rodgers? There's a reason Liverpool fans aren't too fond of him.

They should remember that they were a slip away from winning their first title in 25 years.

Is Rodgers actually going to sign up, or is this a rumour fuelled by the DR story today?

The opinion of English football fans means little to me.

He is ridiculed down South by these Twitter pages etc for next to no reason, a lot of weans just jump on the bandwagon and take the mick.

Fact is he is a forward thinking, young, innovative manager. He led them to within a bawhair of winning the EPL, something every other manager in the past 20 odd year has failed to do. Suarez or no Suarez, one man never makes a team.

They also ridicule his transfer record however the likes of Firmino, Coutinho, Can are proving to be great buys. Even if they didn't show their true form under him. He was also working under constraints at Liverpool has been said, unable to always buy the players he wanted.

If you can't get a little excited about him then I struggle to see who you will get excited by. He is without doubt the one outstanding candidate for this job. I'm surprised we have even gotten this far.

He would be a fantastic fit here. His teams play extremely offensive football with 3 attackers and a designated runner from midfield who will look to chip in with goals. Like a 4 -2-4 at times , would be great to watch domestically.

If Gerrard hadn't have fell on his *, Rodgers would have been hailed as a legend of Liverpool - the fact they were one slip away from the title was an indicator of Rodger's sucess there - the reason Liverpool fans wanted rid was because their top player was sold and the team faltered the following season.

Rodgers was key to getting the best out of Sturridge (a player he bought), Suarez and a youngster whom he brought in from Academy level - Sterling.

If/when Rodgers is appointed Celtic manager, he will build upon the successes that Deila has laid on for him- especially with the young talent we have here.

Also he should be able to play this style of football in Scotland pretty easily as long as our squad has enough quality to overcome the other league opposition.

Whereas in the English Premier League the opposition is stronger and it would be harder to play this kind of football week on week.

It's all in the training and preparation :50:

Rodgers signed Sturridge, Coutinho, Firiminho, Emre Can and developed Sterling. Clearly has an eye for a player.

Yes. Much similar to Martin O'Neill's sole reason for success up here being Henrik Larsson........

It's not domestic games I'm concerned about, his record in Europe was poor, he only got 5 points in quite a weak champions league group. Liverpool couldn't beat sion or Bordeaux in the EL either but Klopp has taken over and has taken the same group of players to a European final.

Take Larrson or Suarez out of any side they would suffer! MON did succeed tho and Brendan fell just short..

Hope he's learned from that experience as there are question marks over his tactical ability!

Would still welcome him with open arms, he could do a lot with Rogic, McGregor, Armstrong and Roberts.. Just as four examples..
