KDS are backing the ITK's, sky are talking pish about rogers, all the well respected posters have to be believed with all their various done deals, we are going to end up with more managers than an Indian call centre

I'm worried that if he was indeed the number one target and he held talks today, if it went that well then why haven't they announce anything? surely if they have their man and he agrees then the club would be itching to announce such a high profile appointment.

the doubts are starting to creep in I really want Brendan In I know that he had a torrid time in his last year at Liverpool but if you see what he done at Swansea and the season that almost was for Liverpool u will see the man has bags of ability and experience and his brand of football is easy on the eye, I'm worried that this collapses and we wind up with the cheap option again and struggle to build anything meaningful.

:shamrock:Surely the club wouldn't claim Rodgers as their number 1 target if it wasn't looking like him agreeing. Surely lessons have been learned from Keane. Looks positive to me :shamrock:

I have zero faith in the * that run the club, i could actually see them leak stuff like this if they think it would sell a few extra season tickets today, Lawwell and his antics during the last few years have turned a lot of us cynical

    Celtic haven't said anything - it's all source/itk speculation.

Could be any number of things, like negotiating the contract the morra, have to talk with potential assistant manager and coaches and other stuff. Theres also no rush to do anything, the manager won't be seeing the players or really doing anything for about 4 weeks.

If things are going to be done we should hold off the announcemet until Saturday and announce it just after the the Scottish Cup final kicks off as mind games to noise up the huns.

I agree, they must be pretty confident. Cause if we don't get Rodgers then the first question asked to the other guy by the media would be along the lines of "are you happy to take this job even though you weren't the first choice candidate" which would immediately undermine him.

Still praying Celtic don't mess this up though.

Malky would be a good bet at those odds. Still a good chance Rodgers will get the call from an EPL and * off back down there. Think Malky's only hope of working in the Uk and repairing his reputation is with a Scottish club and if we've interviewed him he's obviously in the running.

1/10 means if you put a tenner on him with Skybet you would get £11 back so you would risk £10 to win £1

Love the thought of a manager who is happy to play 3 up front. A centre forward with 2 inside forwards like his Suarez/Sturridge/Sterling combo.

His midfield typically had Gerrard lying deep dictating play. Henderson as the midfield workhorse who compensated for Gerrard's decreasing mobility and the creativity of Coutinho.

Can argue it was slightly naive of course. They finished second and 7 teams conceded less goals (50). Hull finished 16th and conceded 53.

Would be highly entertaining. Not surprising that his mentor was Tommy Burns who had a similar philosophy.
