I think £2m a year and maybe a million bonus for CL qualification would be fine.

We could afford £2m bearing in mind we * that on duds. If we qualify for the CL then we definitely can pay a million in bonuses.

 

Worries me that we might have leaked that just to get ST sales going.

Definitely be some good bonuses in it for him plus a minimum transfer budget. To be honest the team doesn't need too many additions, just a few more experienced players for Europe.

The best way to attract a top manager is to put him on a bonus scheme for titles / trophies.

If the manager has no faith in his own ability to win things then why the * should our club put him on a big salary.. i would also like to see the board be put on a bonus scheme for european success.

Lets face it, domestically we are pretty certain to win stuff. League title should be where the board / managers and players get their bonus from.

Combine that with european advancement and we should be able to to produce a hungry team. If any player thinks they deserve a high salary for average performances in the Scottish premier than i want them nowhere near the club.

And players speaking to the gutter press should be fined. Make it a condition that the interviews are published in full with no editing or no interviews will be given. These rags need us to sell papers but Celtic FC dont need the press to get our info out.. we have our own forums and media streams so i hope the new manager (whoever he/she is, you never know) will put an end to players bumping their gums to the Lame stream Media.

 

Don't see any risk with Rodgers mate. He doesn't have to have won anything to be our manager. He is an experienced manager, he's worked with some amazing mangers before hand. Brendan Rodgers is the name to get arses on seats, it will show the whole country we are the number 1 team. A major statement of intent to secco and the breadman.

seriously though, Scottish football has stagnated in recent times, if the tribute act can pose a threat and Aberdeen and the diets push on, the game up here will become a lot more attractive and competitive. Us getting Rodgers will only emphasize that even more... for the good of the game up here, we need a top manager.
