More chance of Andy Walker with Neil McCann and David Tanner assisting then Keane and Clarke :56:

As if I'm going to tell you :bbpd:

You must think you saw me coming :smiley-laughing002:

But seriously, I mentioned it before about Moyes on here, as have others and it is well documented.

Moyes has failed in his last two jobs, his teams and tactics are boring just like WGS, and he is not Celtic minded, all that is a big No No for me.

I am not against Brendan Rodgers, that would be an exciting appointment and he would tick a lot of boxes, he just needs to work on the defensive side of things.

But my first choice would be a Keane/Clarke set up.
I think those two would get us into the Champions League, and see off the challenge of Aberdeen, Hearts and Rangers in the SPL

How did Clarke do in his last 2 jobs :97: he was sacked as well wasn't he?

How about Rodgers, with Moyes as his assistant, Keane as defensive coach, Malky Mackay as media officer and Owen Coyle as ballboy.

I think we're probably overrating both Moyes and Rodgers, but that's because the idea of a Keane, Lambert etc coming in would be underwhelming.

However, of the two, I think Moyes has been far too over hyped than what he's worth. Took a united team that finished first, to seventh. Took a risky job at Sociedad and did his reputation no favours, and kept Everton above water (big deal).

Rogers has far more about him, is younger, and has arguably been more successful. Would be the ideal appointment of all the names mentioned.

How do you know that ? You don't know what influence I have at Celtic or not.

    Silly comparison.
Moyes was an abject failure in his last two jobs.
And by popular agreement Steve Clarke was very harshly and prematurely sacked in his last two jobs.
There is a world of difference.

Hope we don't drag our heels on this one..

The squad needs assessed and changes need to be made. We need a man strong enough to make unpopular changes..

Arguably a new chapter could see:-

    Brown
    Johansen
    Commons
    Mulgrew
    Stokes
    Efe
    Izzy

All being shown the door....unless we go with Lenny:smiley-laughing002:.. That would be 7 of the 11...

How do you know I don't have any influence on the selection of the manager and assistant manager, and can tell from that that you don't have any say in it?

Btw it's going to be Mourinho with Henke as assistant, but it's a secret, so don't tell anyone.

Have you never thought some of the * need to be put through * ?
Nothing wrong with giving them a week long shift, running up and down the dunes at Gullane.
That will sort the * out :smiley-laughing002:

    Henrik Larsson (obvious choice ehh?)

Just had a look he spent roughly £40m in that time and achieve (2009-13) 8/7/7/6 in the league - pretty darned good.

    Underrated by far too many.

And to answer Lucky7 - he did more than keep them above water ffs! He keptneverton competitive and in the top half and in the top 8 most seasons on a relative pittance.

United he spend about £180m less and got the same number of points after the same number of games as LVG. Not bad considering he took over an aging squad whom Fergie worked wonders with and had little to spend relative to their size. Even the United fans admit this.

Sociedad - fair enough but then British managers rarely travel well.
