Who would be your replacement for Ronny?

Every time I try to do a mock squad I just can't pick a midfield.

Brown, Johansen and Bitton have been poor of late.. McGregor and Rogic would be definite's for me in my midfield 3... don't know who else.

 

To be honest I forgot Rogic in mine, I'd definitely start him.

I think for Europe a midfield three of Bitton, McGregor and Rogic might be a bit attack minded, we need at least one midfielder in there who is slightly more defensive minded and can protect the back four. At his best I would say Brown is the best man for that but going into next season I'm not sure, looking forward to seeing what Ajer is like.

For the three central midfield places I would imagine it'll be Brown, Bitton, McGregor, Rogic, Ajer, Johansen and Christie going for them. We actually have too many midfielders, thats not even including Allan, Armstrong and Commons who can all play there.

I wouldnt be against selling at least three of those, preferably Johansen, Allan and Armstrong.

Perhaps but I like McGregor and still rate Bitton and then you'd hope Brown gets back to his best. Then think of the young lad Ajer, Johansen, Armstrong and Mulgrew all able to play in the deeper positions I don't think it's that overly essentially.

 

Henderson coming back as well.. bloated in the midfield department.

The depth we have in midfield compared to up front is a bit of a joke.

Is Carlton Cole still here or has he been released?

If released then we've got Griff, Kazim, Ciftci, Scepovic, Stokes and Aitchison.

From that list I'd keep Griff and Aitchison... maybe Kazim

 

I reckon, or I hope at least, that Cole will be gone in the summer.

Id keep Griff, Aitchision and Kazim and then I would be actively looking for someone who is better than all three of them. Think Stokes is finished and Scepovic isn't good enough.

The new manager should have been announced today, so the rebuilding for next season could get started

 

He plays two up front, so should please most people just by doing that.

 

What if they already have the manager and he is looking at what he wants?

Sadly I think its a cert to be Keane,
-I think the betting being stopped is a big thing.
-I think that Deila mentioning him and all the players who have recently in interviews have been told to put that out.
-He was offered the job before Deila
They may be putting off saying who it is cause there are a lot who don't want him (me included).

 

There should be no reason to slow play an announcement if the new guy is in place unless its someone involved in the Euro's, i would only want Keane if MON was part of it, but there must be a lot of people holding off renewing just in case they shaft us again with another dumpling

 

Struggling to see what the point in withholding this would be.

I know that sounds like a spoiled * but I just couldn't hack him. I'd rather Lenny back. If we can't get the big guns, we have to still look on the continent for a good young manager - and let him do his own thing. None of this bringing in Scottish guys to help him.

I doubt they're withholding it. They're probably still negotiating with folk.
