Desmond seems to know how pick a manager. MON and Strachan were his appointments, while Deila, Mowbray and Lennon were Lawwells

We'll probably hold out on appointing a big name manager until we have secured CL qualification. John Kennedy will do until then.

I'm convinced it's goin to be Keane. Desmond will preside over this one. He sounded Keane out & he'll be convinced not pushing on him was a mistake considering how things have went.

Would this board even think to contact someone like Biesla though?

Imagine the buzz around the place going into the new season with Biesla in charge though, it'd be an absolute dream appointment. But christ some of our more lazy players better be prepared to work a bit harder than they have been doing. :smiley-laughing002:

Was he not only successful in international teams?

I'm thinking Argentina (who anyone managing them, could really beat majority of opponents) and Chile, who absolutely loved him.

To me, he's the manager who the hipsters want because he's different and someone not mentioned. Never won anything of importance in his whole career, really.

I thought he did well with Bilbao, especially getting them to the EL final. That run where they were so great to watch is enough for me. :smiley-laughing002:

Nah, I get what you mean. Though I like managers who stick to their principles regardless of the situations. Zeman is another, crazily offensive football and a real hipsters favourite even though he's achieved nothing in his career. But it's the intrigue of potentially seeing them manage the team you support that would excite me greatly and that's always the most important aspect of football for me.

Nah they wont go in for him, but I believe Dermot Desmond has the pulling power to get him if he offered him an appealing contract. Personally, its the Footballing product Biesla gives you - he implements sensational ball retention, not this rigid bullshit that we seen under Gordon Strachan, its pure fluid Football, not to mention hes been regarded as one of the best. His understanding of the game is unbelievable.......

No doubt we will roll out a diddy

I'm not a hipster, far from it. As mentioned in the above post its his product, the understanding and implementation he gives to sides. Attractive fluid football; A Latin American commodity that I bet would do wonders with us!

I think we will need to wait until the EPL teams have sorted out their managers for next season and we will pick at the scraps. It's * terrible how far ourselves and Scottish football has fallen.

I think we'll be waiting longer than that. Although they will have started to interview candidates.

The more I think about this Manager, the more I feel that if it wasn't for the "Cardiff text" baggage he carries, we would appoint Malky Mackay. He has everything we're looking for but to come into the Glasgow Goldfish Bowl would be a nightmare for him, his wife and us, so can't see it.... But then again if it wasn't for The Cardiff texts he would be one of the top homegrown EPL Managers and so wouldn't be available.

Age Hereide was mentioned yesterday and never considered him until then. Good shout and wouldn't stand any messing.

However when the dust settles, we'll get Keane, who'll bring back Stokes and I'll greet.

Isn't someone like Age Hereide not another Ronny? The board will be hesitant in that case.

Flores being sacked by Watford is a mystery - that league is a joke. What are they expecting. Someone said on here he'll be off to Valencia, I can see that. He'll be back him, decent pay, good budget and a solid team.
