Still on SkyBet at 6/4. Same odds as Rodgers with Moyes now 4/1.

Keane still 7/2 on Paddypower and Ladbrokes.

I think it will be Lambert, Lennon or Keane everyone else is either unrealistic(Martin O'Neill, Moyes, Rodgers) or * (Michael O'Neill, Neil, Hartley, Stubbs, Clarke, Evans, Giggs etc)

Out of those three it has to be Lennon for me.

I won't be as raging as most with Keane but it's a massive, massive gamble.

Look who ever the new manager is should get our full backing no matter whether we agree with the appointment or not, it'd be stupid to turn against him the second he's in the door.

People speak about Keane as if he's a poor manager but he took a team from the relegation zone and won the Championship with them which is a good achievement, he also kept them in the EPL I think the next season. At Ipswich done quite average but it was just an average team.

He has really done no better or worse as a manager as guys like Lambert, Neil, Nigel Pearson, Lennon, Mackay, Clarke or any other type of decent manager. Not done badly at a team or done anything sensational.

Only thing is his personality that could cause disruption but I dont think it has before. He's probably calmer and nicer in person than he seems.

To be fair I think the vast majority of people would. I can remember just before Deila was appointed and it seemed it was going to be Keane and most people began to accept it and get behind it.

It's the names that have been mentioned that would make it disappointing for most Id imagine.

Starting to think it'll definitely be Keane, Desmond clearly wanted him last time and I don't think Keane is going to turn down the Celtic job a second time. He'd live to regret it.

Any guy in the job would get my backing but this could quite be the most important appointment for decades. If we are to continue our domestic dominance it simply has to be a success.

Keane is a huge gamble IMO, at a time when we can ill afford it.

He spent £80m in just over 2 years and left the club in the relegation zone. Some of his signings were abysmal. £6m on Chopra

Any manager with a clue should be able to guide us to success next season. Our resources far outweigh any other team in Scotland and pretty much anyone we'll meet in the CL qualifiers

Keane's record in the EPL with Sunderland was 15 wins from 53 matches(28.3%) which is 11 games a season and 9 draws from 53 matches(17%) which is 6 per season. Giving him an average points total of 39 per season. The last 6 seasons since Keane left they have averaged 42 points per season so hardly much difference to what he was doing.

I cant believe people would be happy with Keane. Based on what, his record in the championship one season nearly ten years ago after spending millions upon millions. If its Keane and its not set in stone I will be devastated and see it as 1) An insult to the intellect of the Celtic support, 2) Desmond showing himself to be the real culprit behind whats been going down not Peter Lawell.

    Lets see what happens though.
