hence why i said outsider.......like Moyes and Rodgers...

These people are outsiders because there is nearly no chance they will be interested, they dont care about scottish football....

My fav personally to take it is Alex Neil......as an outsider vote Hiddink

The only person we've been linked with that I rate below Keane is Malky Mackay, and that's saying something. I really don't understand why our club (or Desmond himself) seemingly have such a hard on for him, seeing as his only real success is arguably a fluke from a decade ago.

I don't even think Rodgers is that realistic a prospect, but why are Swansea even looking for a new manager? They only appointed Guidolin in January, and he's been doing an alright job of it.

celtic will not pay over the odds for any *...the dreaming of rodgers is that a dream...as mine would be Hiddink.

Lennon is the perfect board man....he needs a job,he has done it before.

The only upside i can see to having Keane is that he will demand a good transfer budget. How he would spend it is another matter.

I'd take Lennon over Keane, I'll be devastated if Keane gets the job

Given his previous transfer record, I would rather we didn't back him tbh :smiley-laughing002:

    ABK (anyone but Keane)

You see the thing is, if Keane becomes the new manager, the fans I have spoken to, majority dont want him. So if things dont go his way within the first 3 months everyone will be calling for his head.
We will be back to square one if we dont get the right guy in im affraid.

Seems to be a lot of opposition to Roy Keane on here. I can understand that.

    Just out of curiosity..............

How many people would take John Hughes before Roy Keane?

Hooper never made an impact at Norwich, Cameron Jerome was scoring more and playing better than him.
Naismith even though he's a hun is a good player, can't deny that.

We'd be lucky to get Alex Neil, gained a lot of respect down South already.

Keep going back and forth on this, but right now I think I'd rather have Keane than Lennon.

I fear a domino effect of disappointment, with the big names dropping until we are left underwhelmed with who is left.

I think if we dont announce either this midweek, or directly after we lift the trophy, then we can assume it's Keane and he'll be in place once Ireland's Euro involvement is over.

My hope is we appoint someone this midweek.
