Swansea's current manager hasn't done a bad job in recent times though, steadied the ship. Unless he's only there till the end of the season?

cnat see him going for the swansea job.

One theory is that he;s still holding out for the valencia job, which he wont get.

What achievement is finishing second? :smiley-laughing002: Especially when you've spent hundreds of millions in the process.

Klopp is about to achieve more than Rodgers did in his whole time there.

Liverpool look like a very good football team at the moment, the same team who looked like a bunch of donkeys at the start of the season. He's getting so much more out of players like Firmino and Lallana who were ghosts before; players like Lovren and Sakho look decent. Rodgers is very overrated and I'll be chuffed if he goes back to Swansea.

Moyes is really going down on my list the more I think of his time at United and the systems he tried to use.

A lot of the times he used.

    Januzaj Carrick Fellaini Welbeck

    Van Persie Rooney

A few things wrong with this, one is its balance. Welbeck and Januzaj are both forwards playing on the wing (something which Welbeck complained about saying he didn't like playing on the wing in a 4-4-2) and then you have Fellaini and Carrick as a midfield two possibly as the slowest midfield partnership in premier league history. Fellaini shouldn't be played in a 2 man midfield, his attributes require him to have freedom going forward.

Then he didn't give the likes of Kagawa a chance and was still reliant on a declining Rooney (it's worth pointing out that Sir Alex dropped Rooney in the previous season in the bigger games and clearly saw that Rooney was starting decline. He dropped him in favour of Welbeck and Kagawa mainly).

Then he told Ferdinand to look at how Phil Jagielka plays. He also annoyed Vidic and Evra enough to make them want to leave at the end of the season when LVG could really have done with their experience when taking over. He then signed Mata when you have Kagawa for that position (who in my opinion is a better player as Mata), even then he didn't use Mata properly either.

He had no clear plan and no clear system that'd suite the players at his disposal and he was signing players like Fellaini and Mata who didn't fit into the 4-4-2 formation he seemingly wanted to play.

A lot of this really worries me if he were to take over because don't forget for his good seasons at Everton (04/05, 06/07, 08/09 and 12/13) there were so many mediocre seasons too where Everton were so boring and just floating around mid-table like 05/06 when they were in a relegation battle before picking up decent form in the second half of the season and then there was a period between 2009 and 2012 when they started all of those seasons appallingly, while playing shocking football in the process.

Then you can chuck in a failed period in charge of Real Sociedad and the prospect of Moyes taking over is not one that greatly excites me.

Also did Rodgers ever get to any final with Liverpool? Guess Klopp has trumped him on that front too. Two finals in less than 9 months.

Are you serious? One he hadn't spent hundreds of millions before the 13/14 season and two they finished ahead of teams like Chelsea, United, Arsenal and Spurs who spent more than them during the summer of 2013 (and summers before that) and they weren't even expected to finish in the top 4 nevermind competing for the league. They were so close to the league, it's not Rodgers fault that Gerrard slipped and Chelsea then parked the bus afterwards.

Liverpool in the 13/14 seasons looked far better than they do under Klopp currently, Europa League is great and all but their league form hasn't exactly improved dramatically, especially in comparison to the 13/14 season and even last season when Liverpool still managed to finish 5th.

Why are people acting as if Rodgers isn't the best potential manager we could appoint? The rest of the options are so far behind Rodgers it's ridiculous. Who else do people want?

    All of this.

Moyes is not a manager ive ever rated, despite all the wanking that goes on over his everton tenure.

A little trip over to an everton fan forum will explain things quite easily. The vast majority are terrified at the prospect of his return

Listen to yourself :smiley-laughing002:. We would be extremely lucky to get a manager who has finished second in the league.

Getting Rodgers would be a coup for us. To expect any better than him is insane.

Just been told from a close source that it's Mark McGhee..

Straight outta Mark's gub. When he blanked Ronny at Fir Park with the customary handshake, he said I'm taking your job ya diddy..

Rogers, Moyes, Lambert, Keane etc, doesn't matter who we get, we should win the SPFL next year for a 6th time whoever gets the job. That isn't the point. What matters is CL/Europe and sadly none of the "names" have a great record in Europe except Lenny, WGS & MON, however I think a fresh face is needed to weed out the hangers-on and move us forward.
