And also lets not forget he spunked that 70M on 33 players.

Many of whom reportedly celebrated when he "resigned".

given the right backing and under the right circumstances no one knows how good he could be as celtic manager.

    This.

People on here seem to think Keane will come in, start kicking arses and walk us into europe.

His record speaks for itself. Given his history, we;re looking at 2 months of good results, a fight with the media, a falling out with the sfa, a fractured dressing room, one maybe two first team players training with the reserves, sharp decline in the football.

I'll bet he had an attitude that he wasn't given enough money or support from the board and blamed it all on them.

Back to the "Keane won't take any *" pish. Aye, when things don't go his way he'll storm out like a spoiled child.

Honestly anyone that thinks Roy Keane is going to march up to Dermot Desmond, bang the door down, demand cash and actually get it is kidding themselves. If he gets any extra cash it will be by Desmond's good graces, just like it will be for anyone else. If he doesn't like it, he'll * off. How is that good for anyone?

After he left left he blamed it on bad relationship with one of the main shareholders and a falling out with Niall Quinn...

They threw money at him like he was a stripper with a golden * that queefed diamonds and he still found a reason to be an asehole.

Rodgers is the only one I would get excited about. Keane would be a disaster, the rest are.. well, ok, I guess.

I don't want Keane as manager but in terms of him quitting Sunderland, that clubs seems to be run appallingly if good managers like Bruce, O'Neill and Advocaat can't succeed there. Something's seriously wrong at that club.

Still Keane wouldn't make my top 5.

    Mine is.

I have just had a mad thought- have Lawlell and Dermott asked Ronnie to unresign?

If we push the boat out
    1 MON
    2 Rodgers
    3 Moyes

    On the cheaper end
    1 Lenny
    2 Michael O Neill
    3 Lambert

I don't see either of the O'Neills getting the job being that they have the Euro's

Perhaps, I actually don't think it's that far-fetched that they've asked him not to resign but they just aren't announcing anything about it just yet.

Maybe they're hoping we have a good end to the season, trophy day will be good fun and then during the Euros or something they finally announce that Ronny will be staying on and hope that all the discontent will have died down. :smiley-laughing002:

That's a depressing list, jesus. I hope we go for any of the ones on the other list over any of those

Ideal scenario though still believe unlikely:

    1) David Moyes
    2) Brendan Rodgers

Acceptable and more likely for me:

    1) Paul Lambert
    2) Neil Lennon
    3) Michael O'Neil
    4) Steve Clarke

The rest unless its a real left wing appointment of someone with pedigree I would not be fussed on.
