Brendan Rodgers would be an exciting appointment, some of the others names being suggest are just so boring. I don't like boring, I want excitement.

Some quotes from the great man.

"My biggest mentor is myself because I've had to study and that's been my biggest influence."

"I always say a squad is like a good meal. I'm not a great cook, but a good meal takes a wee bit of time. But also, to offer a good meal, you need good ingredients."

"I've always worked along with the statistic that if you can dominate the game with the ball you have a 79% chance of winning the game."

"When you’ve got the ball 65-70% of the time, it’s a football death for the other team. We’re not at that stage yet, but that’s what we will get to. It’s death by football. You just suck the life out of them."

"I use a quote with the players,'Per aspera ad astra', which is Latin for ‘through adversity to the stars’."

"I started coaching for one reason and that was to make a difference for people, not just as footballers but as human beings."

"I’ve always said that you can live without water for many days, but you can’t live for a second without hope."

"We play with 11 men, other teams play with 10 men and a goalkeeper."

"When we lose I don't get too disappointed in the same way that when we win I don't get too carried away."

Aye, I was reading all these the other day. Actually started watching that documentary where he's got that picture of himself up on his wall. All a bit cringey

Don't want Rodgers as the the guy is a first grade *, and not an amazing manager either. He spent fortunes on Liverpool winning second place in the league. He's a fraudster imo.

He's like Pep compared to the other names mentioned :smiley-laughing002: he is miles ahead of Mackay, Lennon, Keane, Lambert

    *'s sake :smiley-laughing002:

Did no one watch that Liverpool documentary when he took over there? It covered their pre-season trip to the USA. Definitely reminds me of The Office.

I don't know about Rogers. Could be great here or could be a disaster. He's certainly got experience but I still think he's more suited to mid-table EPL with 38 games per season. The job is totally different here. It'll be high-pressure in every game and intense tactical battles in Europe, all within a budget. It's a tougher job than many other in Football.

Look people are acting as if there are plenty of top candidates out there. In reality we're LUCKY if Rodgers even thinks about wanting to come here to manage us. He's by far top of the list, he's in a different galaxy to the other candidates.
