The card he has is they are going back to him a second time, after saying no the first.

He cant bankroll it though we are a PLC and have rules to stick to like any other company, the only way he could do it is zero interest loans as i think he done when O'Neill took over

If it's true, which I doubt, it's not a 'card'. Especially since Keanes done * all in 2 years and 3 better managers are available this time round.

He was probably never offered the job 2 years ago. I bet he was just asked to interview for it so they could say they widened the search and he took that as a concrete offer. That would be a classic knee * reaction from hot-headed Keane.

Aye not just wages wise though, if it is him then there better be funds made available, because he isn't going to win the fans round given some of the reactions i have heard

I will be angry and really disappointed if Keane gets the job. He has done nothing to warrant it and in my opinion him being hired would be an insult to the intellect of the Celtic fans. Are we supposed to all come back to Parkhead joyous because a 'big name' got the job. It would be a sad state of affairs.

He'll find a mechanism for doing it, whether it be loans or more shares, assuming he wants to of course.

I would just be worried if he done it in such a way that the club is left in debt like Moonbeam did.

Why does his book say? Are you saying because it's in his book it must be true?

There's no chance Keane, who can't get a job as a manager, was talking himself up a bit, trying to make out he was Celtic's first choice?

If I remember correctly (and im open to being corrected here) I could have sworn Roy Keane said in his book he had heard through the grapevine that a few others had turned down the job before he was offered it. I may have dreamt that though :smiley-laughing002:

Possibly.. I can imagine it being a scenario like we're going through right now. Celtic will put the feelers out to Moyes, Rogers and maybe Clarke and see what kind of numbers they would need. 2 years ago that might've included Keane. The only difference is Moyes and Rogers won't come out screaming they've been made an offer and knocked it back.

Im convinced this year will be different though. Lawwell out and Desmond picking the manager with a promise of his personal backing.

Right he might not have been first choice but the fact is the job was there for him if he wanted it. It sadly isn't beyond the realm of possibility for him to be offered again even if he has been out in the wilderness and not been great at the jobs he did have.

Keane has said he won't go anywhere until after the Euros.

We cannot afford to wait, plus the fact I don't believe he is the right man.
