There's no reason we can't beat anyone mate. We beat Barca with Messi and co. That's not what we're getting at here, it's considering the likes of them 'fodder'. We have no right to beat them, doesn't mean we can't though.

Icardi's apparently nailed on for Chelsea as well btw.

Give this team Forster, Wanyama and Gary Hooper and it'd be a very good one.

    Aye.

Van Dijk as well. I still worry about us at centre half.

However we need to find the new versions of them, unfortunately.

If it's Lambert it would mean he has done a serious u-turn on how he feels about managing up here.

if it's lambert then it's more empty seats at CP next season.

totally uninspiring once again, if true.

Yeah wasn't it maybe even a year or two ago he pretty much said he can't arsed with bullshit and pressure that comes with the territory of managing up here.

Honestly can't say I blame him, but you'd have to wonder whats made him change his mind if he is to be our next manager.

I doubt he's the main target because he's not got a good managerial record. If he gets it this year I would say it's purely a Dermot Desmond decision. Only hope is he personally bankrolls it and doesn't saddle us with the debt.

he was the main target last time round, this time he holds all the cards in terms of demands, or he walks away again.

Keane would be a last resort for me.

    After;

    Rodgers
    Moyes
    Lenny
    Lambert
    ......

He doesn't mate. Many Celtic fans don't want him and he can't get another job in management. He holds very few cards apart from being pals with Desmond, which will probably be the one that gets him the job.

if he is offered the job, it will be on his terms, for the main reason he knocked it back as the terms did not suit him the last time.

I don't see how he has any cards though. If he walks in and says I want X, y and z and the people hiring him don't like it they'll just go for Lennon instead. Theres no 'card' Keane has.

Again, he can't get a good job in management and he's not highly desired by the fans. What card does he have? He has no leverage at all.

That being said I think he'll get the job and good financial backing purely because Dermot Desmond will get involved, like he did with Martin O'Neill, when we signed Keane as a player and when we signed Robbie Keane. Desmond will back his pals. It's just a pity a better manager won't get the same backing.
