The next manager has in all probability been interviewed and told he has the job. It would be crass to announce him at the moment whilst Ronnie is still here. I expect as soon as the league is 100% done and dusted Ronnie will be off and the new man can step in. I hope I'm right.

No offence to Ronny, but he's hanging around like a bad smell, lets get rid and get the new guy in asap, Ronny can watch the trophy day celebrations on the DVD :icon_mrgreen:

Not a hope in * that Moyes or Rodgers will come here more I think about it, the budget alone will make sure of that.

Will be Lambert with Larsson as assistant to sell it to the fans I think. Don't think that would be a terrible appointment although underwhelming, Larsson to bring his boy over as well :smiley-laughing002:

MON and Keane would be acceptable, have done a good job with Ireland but not sure if someone like Keane is what we need right now. Also the big question is the assistant managers, Lawwell might try and burden the new guy with Collins and Kennedy or just Kennedy.

Knowledge of managers is not good enough to put forward any alternative foreign appointments, but would be a gamble, especially after Deila

BBC sport gossip saying Rodgers has dropped a huge hint about being the next Celtic manager.

Might be referring to that interview someone posted after his marathon though, which I think can be interpreted different ways. But might be something more concrete. Hope so.

Brendan Rodgers said earlier "Great Club" and all that patter..Certainly never said no. But I suspect he is a bit rich for the club.

Two managers with only 1 managing doesn't work.
We just seen that with Ronny and Collins. Be them mates or not it just is hard to get going. Behind the scenes, managers who work as Manager/Assistant, they can be tight as friends, but as soon as the Football happens, human nature pulls people to a place they would not normally go.

    We tried this, doesn't work.
Could Larsson sit and watch Lambert pick the team?
    I don't think so.

Yeah I appreciate your concerns with the last point you make, he'd probably be rather down south and would only be using Celtic as way to get another PL job in the long run if it does come to that.

It's the way Celtic do business , 10 to 12 in the hat ? But who will accept the small budget ,the small salary and become a yes man ,that is the question

Take them out and your down to 1 or 2 :smiley-laughing002:

That's what i have been told at work...Moyes brother is apparently an agent and said that his brother has already been interviewed and got the job

Wits this Lambert with Henrik as his assistant pish? Who makes this * up? As if Henrik would even agree to it, he's made it clear from the minute he became a manager he wanted to make a name for himself by progressing through the leagues.

He's also made it clear he is going to be at Helsingborgs for two seasons. Paraphrasing his words, he said that the first season was to rebuild, the second to stabilise, and then he hands it over to someone else.

And to be fair, I dont even think he'd come back as manager, unless he knew deep down he would be a success. Too may fickle fans that would tarnish his name and status at the club if he was to fail.

No one is making it up , just speculation as this whole thread is...seeing Lambert is available, Larsson was linked last time and they have said before that they would enjoy working in management here.

Whilst Man City, have done it, we're hardly them.

Think it would be a bit of slap in the face for Ronny too, think he at least needs some respect (although maybe a slap in the face too :icon_mrgreen: ).

True mate, they will know that x amount will renew regardless of whi the manager is, then after that period we will maybe find out or get more solid info on what is going on

They'll likely sit and wait to see if enough renew without an announcement and then announce Lambert as manager at the same time as Pedro scrolls through his Thomas Cook brochure.

So you think that Rodgers or Moyes coming here is more realistic than Larsson coming to be an assistant to Lambert?
