Amazing how different folk read things!

That's the first indication from him since the announcement that Deila was leaving that he'd even be remotely interested. And he's as complimentary as he's ever been about us.

You get the distinct feeling from him and Moyes that they'd both take the job if they were guaranteed some money to spend ultimately leading them to the Champions League.

If you listen carefully to the syntax, inflect and tone of Brendan's talk he is not interested.

    Too many buts too.

What I took from that interview was that we're not the problem but the league we play in very much is.

I would be quite happy with Lennon back.
Lennon was doing great until along came Ambrose.
Take Ambrose out of the equation for next year, and Lenny would have as good a chance of anybody.

I doubt it's decided yet and I don't think the players would know before it was made public.

If he wasn't interested im sure he would have Been more direct and not as cryptic. Reading far too much into what he said. He never declared either way if he would take the job.

you do talk some amount of rubbish - ambrose was superb that season under lennon apart from one game when neil lennon rushed him back a day after winning the african cup of nations, which once again shows how crucial ambrose was in that team - Ambrose has made many mistakes since that season but during that run he was superb and most certainly helped lennon not hindered him.

A comment everyone makes. Lambert made it a couple of years ago, Lennon has made it historically. I bet both would walk over broken glass for the job just now.

They're just stating a fact, the support and the Champions League is what attracts everyone to Celtic. The Newco being back for 4 massive games is another.

I just cant see rodgers joining celtic- the money in the EPL is to much to resist I would imagine. Likely to be a few vacancies and I would say rodgers and moyes are holding out for that. Lennon, lambert, keane and michael o'neil are probably more relalistic targets for us unfortunately.

Rogers will probably go to another EPL side. That's the league he knows and the one he's had some success in. Like Moyes, he's suited to the mid-to-upper EPL with no pressure to really achieve anything. Once the pressure to win every game is on, both struggled.

I get that they think the League is *, but also I think they know Celtic would be too much of a challenge for them.

Paul Hartley was 50s at the weekend on Ladbrokes. Now 9\2, Desmond is also a shareholder in Ladbrokes

Hartley should've been brought in before Deila. I don't think the fans will back him now, he'll be seen as a cheap option again.
