I'd love to see Rodgers here, but i fear we'll end up with someone that the Board can manipulate, or be made to feel grateful for the job, and basically told to work with what they've got.

    Don't worry...

You'll wake up in a couple of days to find out it's .....

Diego Simeone... Pushing for Spanish league and CL glory are just not cutting it for him!

Sorry, I meant you'll wake up from a dream thinkin it was Diego Simeone... Only to find out it was an Owen Coyle, Paul Lambert & Manky McKay trio..

Lennon 14/1 is a massive price. I can't see us going for Lambert.

Swansea looking at signing 'wee joe' means we can rule out Rodgers because he is his wee joe and is a beautiful human being.

A lot of good names floating about, but ultimately I feel we'll be underwhelmed.

Anything less than Moyes or Rogers for me would be a slight disappointment now.

    I'm preparing to be disappointed.

I don't even think the appointment will be down to us being turned down by a Rodgers or Moyes on merit.

I think we may pursue one or both and they'll both turn their nose up at the lack of potential investment in trying to reach the Champions League. They can only * with the * their given.

Then Lawwell will pick up the phone to Lenny. The guy that has already said he wouldn't need money and the guy that although would be massively underwhelming for most still holds a place in the hearts of all Celtic fans so would not generate too much apathy.

I would much prefer Rogers then Moyes. However, I don't see why some people are moaning about Lambert (and then bigging up Lennon or Keane).

Lambert got off to a bad start (an impossible job at Livingstone) - he then did an excellent job at Wycombe, Colchester and Norwich. I wouldn't judge him too harshly at Villa - its a basket case and he did bring in good young players including Benteke who they sold at a massive profit.

He's done well to keep Blackburn up - they had 1 decent player (Rhodes) who was sold and no money was provided to him. Look how many managers Villa and Blackburn have gone through in the last few years. At least he kept Blackburn up - more than Lennon did with Bolton (also a basket case club - I admit).

Quite frankly I think people have very selective memories about Lennon. He blew the league in his first year and when he did win it - it was a 1 horse race. His record in the domestic cups was average. I think a lot of people (including him) overrate him on the basis of a few European results. Lambert has achieved a lot more at a higher level.

Keane may have got Sunderland promoted but he spent a lot of money to do it including spending stupid money on some average players. When the going got tough at Sunderland - he bailed out and then became a disaster at Ipswich. It was in all the press about how much the Villa players hated Keane long before he "resigned" as assistant manager. A bad choice by Lambert - obviously thought he could have the same relationship with Keane as MON and couldn't.

The only was I would want Keane at Paradise would be as assistant to MON.

Frankly, assuming we can't get Rogers, Moyes or MON - I would sooner have Lambert or Steve Clarke rather than Lennon, Keane (alone) or * Forbid Malky McKay!
