I feel like it's a good sign that managers are throwing their hat in the ring. The best one I've heard is Gus Hiddink. It must be a fabrication but it still sounds * great.

Ive been on there reading and I'm sure that guy was taking the * about it not happening, if you read the lead up to his comment it makes sense.

Lets be honest, they don't know anything. They have somehow managed to gain a reputation over the years for breaking rumours, I reckon' we should start some:smiley-laughing002:

The only reason I assume we broke the news RD was leaving is due to the feeling among fans and ST sales coming up. Because lets face it, this is a pain in the hole and a total farce. There's too much of a circus and speculation about who the new manager is going to be - has to effect players (at least a wee bit).

It's affecting me, because I cannot take this anymore - I need to know. :smiley-laughing002:

I think it'll be Lenny or Keane. The board have shown me no signs in the past that they will push the boat out and bar the one creative choice in Ronny, they don't exactly think outside the box.

I seriously don't know why people would refuse Moyes - guy is out of our league to be honest. One dodgy stint in Spain does not undo all the work he done at Everton. Man United was a job too big but he hardly done terrible when you compare to Van Gaal.

Rodgers is a no go - he'll be off to the EPL in no time. The guy was decent at Liverpool and will find a job paying £60k a week, with tens of millions in transfers easy.

Pish state of affairs if I do say so myself.

It's actually a myth that Steve Clarke is just a good No.2.
He is an excellent No.1 in his own right. Ask West Brom and Reading fans.
They all thought very highly of him.
And players develope to their full potential under him.
We don't need a big name to manage the club, just the right man.

He is just what we need.

I'm sceptical on Clarke, wanted him a couple year ago but his win rate as a manager is concerning, well under 40%.

He's also a bit..plain. Moyes isn't a crazy character by any means but he has a much better reputation as a first team manager and is a bit more characteristic in comparison to this:

I like Clarke and as I said in here the other day, would love him as a number 2 but I have my doubts. We should be considering Lennon before him.

He got sacked from Reading because he wanted to speak to Fulham.

He was itching to leave Reading as soon as Fulham shown him some money when he didn't leave the club sacked him
He'd be away in a shot if he got stiff of a job in England

In saying what I have, this interview with Craig Burley is interesting. Taken when Clarke had WBA at 3rd in the Prem. Seems like man management is one of his best attributes:

There must be some German manager who is doing well for a small club that will be the next Klopp or Tunchel or something.

In all seriousness though I would take him but only if other options weren't going to happen.

Totally agree with this, im on this thread flat out hoping for news but its a pish state of affairs as ronny leaving was only announced to appease the fans. There is no chance rodgers will come here i dont know why people suggest him its not going to happen. Moyes the more i think on it i cant see him coming here either, lennon is the best option of the rest for me and I really hope we take him over Keane who i really really dont want.

I suggested Ivan Jovanivic few pages back he is the type of left field appointment that could work.
