So you're not bothered about winning the league, only about Europe. Tell me how we get into the CL without winning the league ?

Who's opinion is it you care so much about need I ask ? EPL fanboys ?

Aye ma dad always goes on about the football we played under Burns with they three up top. Says how alot of the fans found it tough when we signed Larsson and thought that it was another cheap replacement! Some things never change!

Always thought we played good fotball under Lennon the majority of the time and pumped many teams, huns and aberdeen included. The first season we played * hot football, and after that we tightened up defensive wise. We had a much better coaching team back then though, thommo and johan alot better as coaches than collins and kennedy, big factor

Of course i want to win the league, but, as i said, it should be viewed as a route into europe. 10 in a row means * all in the grand scheme of things. This is the type of thinking the board loves.
Just do enough to win this * league and try stay just ahead of the huns and the mugs will be happy. Small time, parochial thinking.
And i dont give a * about the epl or its fanboys.
My point was that no one else in world football gives a * if we win 10,12,20 in a row. No point winning 10 in a row in a * league and then getting humped by small scandinavian teams in the qualifiers every year.

:50: Spot on , the original comment from Limerick Celt was as daft as Viduka with his one..

"I don't care if we lose every game as long as we win the league"

Brilliant ! let Sevco or Aberdeen win the SPL, we will concentrate on the Champions League

If either of you can actually point out where i said i wasnt bothered about winning the league i would be obliged. I was talking about the pre occupation with 10 in a row. So to call me daft for making a comment i didnt make, is, well.........daft.

The positive way to look at it Mani, is that if we end up with Moyes or Rodgers, they would have only agreed to become manager if substantial backing were promised.

If Keane is given the manager's job, I don't think for one second his mate Desmond would leave him out high and dry with barely any funds.

All sounds like a win/win tbh.

I don't really know about Chelsea tbh, but from a Celtic point of view, do you not think we would need the new man to be in place sooner rather than later ?
