We won't though. Do you really think he'd make the best team in the country with the best attacking players a defensive team?

The only reason he did that at Everton was because he had to adapt.

He struggled to make Man Utd play that way tho. Took alot of flak for the way they played during his time there.

Im not saying he would be a bad appointment, merely thinking about the impact he may have and how the fans may react if he makes us more hard to beat than a team beating other teams thru attacking football.

Because he came into a team on the decline. He had to try to make them solid and then implement his own ideas. Then he got barely any time to do it.

If he gets the job, there is no way he'll set us up defensively in the league. He's been here before, he knows the fans expect attacking football.

He inherited the League Champions, admittedly they lost Ferdinand and Vidic in defense but they should have been doing alot better than they wer.

    * sake it's David Moyes... 3 years ago, we'd be laughed at for even mentioning his name here.

Realise that he's a top manager, who got the vote from Sir Alex Ferguson and done a bit * after. Doesn't make him bad. There are a few factors to take into account, which won't affect him here. Budget being a huge one.

If we get him and you're moaning, maybe you should take your tampon out and just realise you're a stupid tart :smiley-laughing002:

    This.

There is no reason comparing his time at Everton or Sociedad to here. We are a whole different animal.

United, ok, it wasn't the best but he took over a squad on the decline big time and was given very little time. Van Gaal's reign so far has proven how hard a job it is to succeed a guy like Ferguson.

Folk are acting as though not being a raving success at a club the size of United is embarrassing. It's not.

That United team was on a massive downward spiral before he arrived.

The only reason they had won the title the previous year(maybe even going back a couple years before that) is because they had Ferguson. Pure and simple.

KDS are all over this. They're partying like it's a done deal. Surely it's gotta be stemming from somewhere ? No smoke without fire and all that ?
I'm actually buzzing at the thought of this.

I have no doubt we'd win trophies under Davie Moyes. I equally have no doubt that the football would be about as excting to watch as it was under Gordon Strachan. None of Moyes' teams have been easy on the eye.

As long as he's winning trophies then I'm sure most people will be happy. Doesn't work for me personally. I like my team to be exciting to watch even if it means they win a bit less.

I get the feeling people think im doubting his abilty to do the job at Celtic, i dont. Im simply trying to discuss what could be seen as negatives from his managerial experiences. If we had been offering him the job before he went to utd i would have been surprised and pleased at getting a * good manager, just as i think now.

Im just looking at his time at man utd and everton and wondering if he will have us playing the way the fans seem to demand we play, open, attractive , entertaining, attacking football and if not how will the fans react to that.

They were playing above their ability because Fergie was there. Everyone could see Fergie got off of a sinking ship.
