As much as I'd like to see Moyes or Rodgers (as would most others by the looks of it), I just cant shake the feeling we will go for Lenny.

Just a bit anti climatic imo. As much as I think he would be great on his return its just going backwards, going back to what i was like before these problems started doesnt automatically mean the problems will go away.

Need something fresh and forward thinking. Hope Lawell pulls this out the bag and proves me wrong. Very interesting few weeks ahead.

I think Moyes with an assistant of Clarke would be incredible. It's because of that, that there is no chance to it coming to fruition.

I put him on at 50/1. Only 2 quid but still.

Steve Clark I remember thinking he wasn't doing the worst job at WBA and he did get Reading to an FA Cup semi-final last year too. He's still at the beginning of his coaching career though and has made some mistakes so he'll be someone learning on the job.

He should have learned a * of a lot during his assistant jobs over the years though. Would still feel like another experiment.

Clarke was harshly sacked by both WBA and Reading.

I don't think either are better off without him.

    Aye it would be incredible.

So much experience there. For me, Clarke is an assistant and not a manager.

The most miserable, dour, depressing combo I think I've ever heard. :38:

Lets get Di Canio and Keane instead then. Forget if they can actually manage and coach! * it!

Plenty of clubs would bite your hand off for those two in the dug out.

This is enough on its own for folk to realise this is bad.

    Very, very, bad.

Well let's not but let's get Moyes & Clarke two guys that have been sacked four times ('harshly' remember the harshly) between them & play utter guff football. 'Remember Moyes at Everton though'.

Moyes and Clarke is probably a dream combo in this day and age for us. :smiley-laughing002:

Probably an unrealistic one too considering I'm still skeptical about if Moyes is even a realistic possibility and the fact I doubt Clarke is done with trying his hand in management just yet.

Moyes with Clarke as his assistant is literally the best outcome we can hope for, with possibly Clarke taking over if Moyes gets another offer down south after 3 years in charge or whatever. Not sure what better realistic option we could possibly hope for.

Celtic Underground (unreliable I know..) saying Alex Neil being targeted. Not sure how I'd feel about that one.

Name me a better assistant manager than Steve Clarke that we have a chance of getting?

He's been one of the best in that role in the last 15 years in Britain.

I genuinely could not give a * who the assistant is if it's who the manager wants.

Are Celtic fans the only folk in the world discussing who the assistant manager is going to be? :56:

Firstly, we don't have a chance of getting Clarke as an assistant, I imagine it sprang out of the imagination of someone on this forum about 3 pages ago!

To be fair the situation with the assistant was one of the reasons Keane said he turned it down.

    Thank *.
