The announcement from Moyes is entirely what I would expect - non-committal and leaves his options open, doesn't give anything away.

I really don't see how folk can read much into that interview.

    You can't.

People are seeing/hearing what they want to.

I think most people want Moyes and because he's not come out guns blazing and shown he's 100% keen it seems like he's not interested. I really don't think that interview should be looked into too much.. it's only 2 sentences after all. Although it is clear he's keeping his options open and probably does favour a move down south... He may have said he wants Champions league and trophies but if the opportunity arose would he turn down the wage and transfer budget of Aston Villa or Everton? To be honest I think it'll end up being Lennon... Whether thats good or not I dont actually know, keep changing my mind on who I want! But Moyes is a manager with high demands and keeping his options open.. Lennon is seeking a job and has already shown great interest after half an hour of Ronny being papped oot

Pish from the first sentence to the last.

Some fans are utterly deluded. Neither Moyes or Rodgers would be inspiring? You're talking about former managers of Manchester United and Liverpool.

Put it this way. If we were to draw a team like Molde in the CL qualifiers and they had Moyes or Rodgers in charge you'd be worried. That is the level we are at right now.

Moyes or Rodgers would be incredible appointments for Celtic.

Getting an uneasy feeling it will be Keane.

Desmond wanted him last time and I'd be surprised if the decision didn't come down to him this time.

I think there's something in that. To be honest it's a sinking feeling.

Are you serious? Both Moyes and Rodgers would be absoultely fantastic appointments.

I think it will be Keane but it would be the wrong move IMO.

Firstly we'd have to wait until after the Euros for him to come.

Secondly, I don't rate him as a manager at all. Comes across as an abrasive, cocky, selfish guy who would * off alot of players and fans eventually too, no doubt. Forget the 'hard man' persona for a minute. We might need someone to come in and kick a few arses but that isn't enough. In order for us to move forward we need someone with a bit of style and tactical knowledge, someone who can spot a bargain in the transfer market, someone who can really bring on a young player and develop the club as a whole...I don't see Keane as being that man. As soon as the going got tough he'd be offski.

I'd also see it as a major cop out by Desmond and co. They'd think that they would be answering our calls for a 'big name' and in theory they would. However he is only a big name because of his playing career, as a manager he has been up and down apart from one good season with Sunderland(where he spent a fortune so should really have been near the top end of the table anyway), he has done nothing of note. Sacked from his last position over 5 years ago now.

There is just so much that could go wrong with him, IMO. As an assistant, helping a more experienced manager? By all means. On his own? Nah. Not for me.

    It's between Lennon or Moyes.

    Lennon is the frontrunner

After last nights result, he might be back at Everton before the summer.

As perfect as that would be, there's no way Lennon would be an assistant, or Moyes a director of football

I'd love to see Brendan Rodgers, but I don't think it's realistic. My personal favourite would be Bob Bradley who's now at Le Havre. Brilliant guy.

Don't want Moyes, and I don't think Lennon is the right guy to bring us forward either.
