Was that not a direct consequence of there being no competition in the league though?

As much I I would not mind Lennon back. I can't really see what he can achieve on a personal level being back at Celtic.

If there's even the slightest chance of Moyes or Rodgers being interested in the job, I would hope we're doing everything we can to make it happen. They both have their faults, but would be a massive step up and a real sign of intent. From the outsiders Laudrup would be an interesting choice, and Weighorst following him would be a nice bonus. Some of the alleged issues surrounding his exit at Swansea would be a potential concern though.

If I'm being completely honest, as much as I appreciate what Neil Lennon did for the club, I'd only want him back if the the three I mentioned above weren't interested. Nothing against the man personally or his qualities as a manger, but I'd rather we try something new than retread old ground.

I would be completely against the idea of either Roy Keane and Michael O'Neil being offered the job. I think Keane's basically a time-bomb and would inevitably fall out someone. O'Neil would just be incredibly uninspiring. Getting NI into the Euros is a good achievement, although I think people are overrating it to be honest, but I can't see him being anything other than average at best here.

Surely Keane has learned a bit under MON?

Wouldn't be totally against him getting it tbh. After DM may I add.

Alex Neil could be a good choice if he becomes available.

I agree with you regarding Roy Keane, although he did well at Sunderland initially.

I can't see Moyes handling the pressure at Celtic. He's used to finishing upper mid-table with very little expectation and occasionally getting a draw against a better team.

Ronny's problem was he couldn't handle pressure. We need someone who thrives when under pressure now.

Even though I don't want Lennon, as I favour other candidates, I admire his words.
That the Celtic job is a big draw. An important job. That he would be open to the board, should they come calling. That he has 15 years tie with the club, and has a strong affinity with us.

Why not a Lennon-Moyes dream team!!!!!!!
    I can but dream

I think Moyes would have the MON effect, he would demand complete control, take no * and clear this current squad like a knife through butter plus big fellani would have the best hairdo since Henrik :56:
