I really think it has to be something to get the fans returning and back on the boards side, Bielsa would fit that bill. Would be so * exciting.

My hope is that they see the severity of our situation and what's needed. Hope, not expect with this lot..

Money is needed, progress is needed and plenty need to go. Otherwise the place will still be empty for the majority of next year and we'll be getting pumped out of Europe early..

Bielsa telling folk to do one and attacking, cavalier, football. What's not to love? Never going to happen sadly.

The strategy is flawed. As someone mentioned in another thread, throw enough * at a wall and see what sticks. It has worked maybe 3 times in the last few years - Wanyama, Virgil and Forster. We've spunked how much millions in fees and wages on 21 strikers in 5 years and not to mention the amount of midfielders.

The whole system needs revamped and the only way of doing that is stripping it down and rebuilding. That will get rid of the malaise around the club. As you say, that requires money. Can't see over investment happening unfortunately.

No. No. No. Don't go for an exciting, outside the box appointment like Bielsa. We need a safe pair of hands like Yogi Hughes or Jim McIntyre to steer us out of these choppy waters. They'll bring the crowds back and will work within the board's budget.

I really don't think it'll ever make more sense to get Moyes in, in all seriousness. Seems to me like it would be the perfect time for both parties and I've always seen him as a potential Celtic manager.

Come on, lets be realistic about this.

Glenn Hoddle would never be interested in the Celtic job.

We should be. We've a disaster about to end and a new challenge with an eagerly awaited appointment on the horizon, and a possible credible title challenge to defend. If now isn't the time for a complete overhaul, then never is, to them..

A million pound + salary, a 3 year deal and control of footballing aspects might scupper that idea.

I agree, we should be aiming high, but it might be too much to expect

Some punter on Radio Clyde the night reckoned Lawwell is off down south this summer. Maybe that would signal a loosening of the purse strings. For a while at least.

    Doubt it.

We'd still have double D to contend with.

He said something like "way down south", which I took to mean a club in the south of England somewhere.

Liverpool chief executive is stepping down next year.

They've been linked with Lawell before. I can see him going then.
