Realistically, I can't see how we could do better. I prefer him over Rodgers who can't organise a defence to save his life, and he blows people like Mackay and Coyle out the water.

Unless there's a decent European manager about somewhere who fancies a crack at it, I'd say Moyes is probably the best we could attract. Although I don't even think we would be able to do that without promising significant funds.

I'd take Lambert, he never really had a chance at Villa and I think he'd do well. Him or Moyes. Just get Coyle and Keane to *.

    Davie moyes, Sutton and Larsson.

Never ever going to happen but that is who I would go with.

Would get the fans excited, fill the stadium and probably get us into the CL where we belong

At the same what did WGS, Lenny do as managers to deserve getting the job same with Mowbray although he did turn out to be rather duff in the end.

Honestly I'm actually warning to the idea of moyes more and more.

Honestly, if there's a slight chance that Brendan Rodgers would take the job I'd be doing all we can to get him in as quickly as possible.

I'd be absolutely astounded (and happy as *) if that happened.

I'd just like Celtic to spend more than the top player wage (£30k p/w+) and get a decent manager in.

Apparently Pellegrini is on about £80k p/w at City and Rodgers was on £62.5k p/w at Liverpool (Talksport's claims of their salaries) so you'd imagine a £40k p/w wage could attract someone decent.

I can wish anyway - I know there are other costs to take into consideration.

If we could get Brendan Rodgers that would be outstanding and finally a show of ambition from the board, however, we all know it will be Coyle or Stubbs or someone else completely uninspiring

I don't think Stubbs has any chance of getting the Celtic job.

If Hibs were to win the Scottish Cup and/or get promoted it wouldn't surprise me one bit unfortunately

Probably too many personalities there mate. Would all fancy a shot in the hot seat themselves and could cause a bit of falling out.

Would love that team if they could all get along with no problems. :50:

You shouldn't be. Fantastic Manager with progressive ideas, solid recruitment policy and a guy that leaves no stone unturned in management.

Thrown to the buses at United, where he was earmarked as the successor to possibly the greatest of all time. Would take no * whatsoever up here, has experience, has played for the Club and understands what is required to succeed.

Above all of that, if he were to be persuaded to come then he has been promised 2 things; transfer funds and autonomy. It would signal a seismic shift in our management organisation - which is required.

Think Stubbs' chances of being in the frame have been taken away after their dreadful run in the last couple of months.

If he won the Championship, Scottish Cup, and generally dominated the huns then he would've been a high contender to have a crack at it, but it's ended up being the other way around.

It may be required, but it's very doubtful that we'll see it happen. Our board run the club a certain way, and both players and management have to fall into line with the restrictions it provides.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see them changing that way of thinking.
