I sometimes forget that Laudrup has been managing for around 15 years as well. He had a great spell at Brondby as a young manager. So he knows what it's like to be in a smaller league if you like, under pressure to win each week.

He was heavily linked before RD as well, I think if contacted he'd at least consider it. Surely.

As I said as well Wieghorst would come with him and he'd fill him in, as if he doesn't already know about us and what is expected anyway, to be honest.

    Probably right but!
If Lawell /Desmond are determined to carry on with their monetary policy that gave us Delia/Collins.

I fear the likes of Moyes and Rodgers anyone credibly proven are pipe dreams.

Hope not but it might take fan action to make them remember Celtic are a big club.

Fans allowed the likes of non credible Delia and joke Collins!

My first option would be Moyes. Knows the club, knows his stuff. But would be too big a ask in terms of monetary and control from Lawwel/DD point of view.
He is a candidate that all fans will endorse but the scavenging board will prefer the cheap option as usual.

But he will probably go to Aston Villa. Less pressure, more money to spend and more freedom.

We will end up getting some second rate manager again like Stubbs or Hughes.

Really feel sorry that it hasn't worked out for Ronny but he has had a fair crack. I do think he has done a lot of things right and who knows, stuff behind the scenes that he has set in place might pay big dividends one day. I would be happy with Moyes or Bilic but think we missed the boat on him a long time ago. One thing I do think, Ronny might come back to haunt us at some stage once he gets his * together again :(

Just to be sure you think that even on the most * up parallel universe you think we have a dugs baw hair chance of Bilic?

    Put the crack pipe down.

Lars Lagerbäck, icelands manager is a genius and have had impressive achievements with Sweden and never mind Icelands national team.

We didn't miss the boat, we weren't even at the same port not even on the same continent.

Pointless even mentioning his name in the past tense.

Moyes would be exciting, Lennon would be solid, Coyle would be OK. But we're going to get Jess Thorup, who won FC Midtjylland their first Danish Superliga title last year.

Don't understand why anyone would want moyes, sacked from his last two jobs. Did reasonably well with Everton but nothing special.

:50: If he came to Parkhead he would treat it as stepping stone back to EPL

We need Gordon Strachan or Neil Lennon

Moyes took Preston from the bottom of Div 2 (League One) to the verge of he Premier League in about 2/3 years.

He also took an Everton side fighting against relegation and saddled with huge amounts of debt and led them into Europe.

His last two appointments have to be looked at in a wider context. Man Utd was a difficult job for anyone after Fergie. Van Gaal hasn't done any better than Moyes, really. Taking a job at a smaller club in Spain was always a big risk.

David Moyes would still, regardless of his last two jobs, be a fantastic appointment for this club.

Like most of our players? Don't see the problem.

If Moyes came in, we'd be a stronger team by the time he left.

    Agreed.

Moyes has a bit of tactical know how, can set up a team to be difficult to beat, wealth of experience and has a good enough name that could persuade a few players to come play for us.

I don't think Moyes would want the job to be honest. We probably couldn't compete financially with the other offers he will receive anyway. I think he would do a * of a lot better than Ronny Deila but I don't see Moyes as a winner, he has won * all in all his years as a manager and at Celtic you need to win everything. I would see Moyes doing a great job with Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen, St Mirren but not Celtic.

Marcelo Biesla is out of a job. Took Bilbao to the Europa final, transformed Chiles national team and does 4 hour long pressers. GET HIM SIGNED UP.

Really don't know, but brilliant as they were for us, as I don't believe in turning the clock back, not Lenny or MON and certainly not Roy Keane. We need an experienced, wise head. Someone who's been around and can stamp his authority on the Club. Michael O'Neil has been mentioned but apart from NI what has he done. Moyes? As has been said, stepping stone back to EPL. My concern is we go for an ex- Celt, like Owen Coyle, John Hughes or Paul Harley - someone who "knows the Club", whatever that means nowadays.

Whoever comes, it will speak volumes of The Board's intent.

Wasn't he part of a two manager team for Sweden at one point?

I think he'd be a good appointment. Wonder if he'd be interested.

What works in Spain might not necessarily work in Scotland, totally different game and that would be my biggest worry, he would definitely improve us in Europe though. But for domestic football I'm thinking a case of PLG at the now deceased.
