I wouldnt take Eck or Robbie Neilson. I want a higher profile manager. Plenty out of work who would take the job surely? Someone with a bit of European pedigree at least.

The most recent suggestions on this thread: Robbie Nielson, Alex McLeish & a nobody that got sacked from that average championship outfit Derby County.

    Honestly shocking.

Robbie Neilsen is doing very well at Hearts, definitely going places.

McLeish is a good manager, no doubt about that, has a great record and knows how to handle players. We need to stop being bitter, twisted and wearing green specs all the time when it comes to appointments.
Best man for the job is the criteria.

I remember suggesting Levein before on here and got laughed out of court.

Alex * McLeish?????? The man who got Birmingham relegated twice, then transformed Villa from a consistent mid-table club to on the verge of relegation? To be our manager???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Not to mention his brand of football is utterly horrendous.

    Nah........ I'm * done.

Why thr * would you want alan stubbs?... foolish foolish talk, we need a manager with proper experience and someone who has managed at a high level, i would love to see Brendan Rodgers, would love that!!... or ottmar hitzfield, but i think he has retired!... so Brendan it is!

but most importantly.... get Delia out now cos...

Neil Lennon didn't have any managerial experience when he took charge of Celtic and most would regard him a success.

That's because he was a success and dont even start with the comparisons between Deila and Lennon.

    Alan Stubbs
    Derek Mcinnes
    David Moyes (doubtful)

would be happy with any of the above.

A lot of managers have crashed and burned in the English Premier League.
Look at Moyes and Mourinho, just two for example.
McLeish did well at Birmingham overall, he was unlucky with Villa IMO, Villa sacked him prematurely.
McLeish was great with Rangers, and remember we are in the SPL, not the EPL.
