Unlikely Roberts would start but after Armstrongs ghost of a performance Sunday he shouldnt be starting. Also wouldnt mind seeing Kazim at some point.

I'd start Patrick Roberts at the back before Ambrose.

Seriously though, we should be going with Erik and Boyata. He is marginally better than Ambrose, which is a depressing thought.

One thing worries me though. I was talking to a Chinese friend of mine, and it is their New Year next week. I asked him what the upcoming year was and it turns out it is.....

    THE YEAR OF THE SHEEP!!!

    Be afraid Timmy!!

If shifty had bitten him he'd have been out for a month.

Would like Allan to get a start, if not maybe Roberts could play in there; maybe even Christie? Is he fit again? Allan, surely deserves a start though?
GMS deffo deserves a start for his coming back into form and scoring last game.
I really am struggling to remember if we've got another good option for the left wing, someone right footed in particular who can cut in. It's weird but we have so many left footed players it's almost absurd. How two footed is Christie? Maybe we could try him out on the left? Hopefully Forrest can get back in the saddle and get back on form.
Is sticking Janko at RB wishful thinking? He's been training so hopefully he is ready, if not; Lustig will do.

Think it will be close for some reason, but I hope we use this as an opportunity to bounce back from the County game.

Heart says 3-1, head says 2-1. Mon the Hoops! :shamrock:

McGregor has done nothing to deserve being omitted from the line up..

If Rogic still injured would start him CAM, bringing Johansen on for the last 30 for his energy..

Looks like we could have the Ambrose/Boyata partnership at the back

Play a proper holding player in front of them. Manage full backs better. Drop line back. There is plenty we can do to mitigate this risk. Asking both of them to play a high line and become proxy Franco Baresi come Pirlos is a different story altogether.
