Efe and their player were sort of running across each other and dont think Efe tried to foul him.. football is a contact sport and players fall over at the slightest touch though i will give their player the benefit of the doubt same way i gave it to Efe..

Our keeper being physically held.. and then gets booked for pointing out the refs mistake.

LG missing his penalty poor show.. but it happens

All in all a very disappointing result.. but im happy for Henderson and Stokes as they will be able to play in the final

Much as i would like to join in the headhunting of Ronny i think once again it is to the officials we should be looking and also the nick of the pitch was shocking for a national stadium.

AND>>> while i am at it if the fans wont turn up then FFS hold the game at a smaller stadium.. especially one that has a decent pitch and atmosphere,

We can still win the big cup. It's been said before but it's true, it is fine margins. You'd stick your mortgage on Griff scoring the pen but, like a lot of things, we didn't get the breaks and, you have to say, County produced a pretty good performance after our red card, which I still think was very, very soft. Feel * but it's important to keep perspective.
Don't like how the media were instantly trying to write the headlines, regards Ronnie. Fs. This is proof why winning a treble is not as easy as it might, oddly, seem to some folk.

When I saw that Boyata and Ambrose were our our centre back pairing for a semi final, I feared the worst. I would have thrown in Sviatchenko from the start. Shame that Simunovic was out.

 

Thought Johanssen showed a bit of heart tbh...

 

Ronny got it wrong, but that shouldn't be surprising to anyone, not even the thickest on folk on here.

Ambrose should never have started. How many times does he have to * up for our manager to realise he's utter dross?

Armstrong should never have stayed on for as long as he did.

No plan B. Just complete and utter ignorance from a manager who should not be at the club.

 

So many moments made me angry.

The one that sticks out was the corner in injury time where no * went to take it, just standing about looking at each other before Lustig trudged over and the ball hit the first defender. Summed up the whole game.

 

its not quite straight forward as that ...* will continue to happen if things are not changed.We are not going places with this kind of management and overall attitude.

 

I don't know how some can still defend ronny its blind loyalty at this stage. After the champions league debacle it was aw * happens, then in the euro league campaign it was * happens, now we have lost our chance at the treble and the reaction is ah well * happens. Look if we had either qualified for the champions league or done well in the Europa today wouldn't be such a big deal. It would hurt no doubt but it wouldn't and shouldn't be a game changer. When you factor in the performances in Europe and now a lost tilt at the treble I just don't know how some can still defend it.

 

It can happen in cup football mate but it does seem to happy to Ronny a * of a lot.

ILTC or someone might be able to correct me on this but I have just had a quick look at our knock out games over the last couple of seasons and I believe Ronny has won 11/20 cup games ( the vast majority of which we were massive favourites for.) So statistically when Celtic have a cup game it has been pretty much 50/50 whether we win it.

With hindsight you could have certainly made an absolute fortune just blindly laying Celtic in all our cup games under Ronny and that is just a fact.

 

Yes , we didn't get the rub of the green , and some poor and inconsistent decisions from the Ref' and his assistants , weather and pitch not conducive to Celtic's style of play . All true , but not in our control .
What I find difficult to accept is ; we were not as motivated as County , we should have scored more than one goal in the early exchanges , we MUST convert the penalty ( it might have been a watershed moment , and spurred us on to qualify ) , and HOW MANY MISTAKES can we sit back and accept from Efe Ambrose . By now he should be away down the pecking order for selection . Either that or transferred ASAP .
In the summing up the main BBC Scotland commentator described their penalty as coming about after Ambrose " hauled down " their player . I thought that it was a penalty , but that description is utter BS .
