The Positives about our Season so far

What are your positives of the season so far, every thread generally turns into a how * the players or management or board is and no doubt the dour mob will pounce on this to

But on the positive side, we are on course for a treble, Tierney and Rogic have excelled as players. We have had a good transfer window so far with two weeks to go and look like building a team to challenge for a CL spot next season.

All in all if we get another CM & ST then I can see this as a very positive transfer window, bringing in the treble will set us up nicely to have a good pop at getting A CL place next season I know a lot of people aren't inspired by RD but I think this season could turn out to be a positive step forward.

 

I think we've recruited well for CB and it's now one of the strong points of our squad.

 

- Tierney cementing himself in the first team.
- Rogic doing the same, albeit his fitness and inconsistency are still an issue.
- Griffiths record in the league.

And perhaps the most positive is the signing of Sviatchenko and the players we seem to be in for i.e. Elyounoussi, Falk Jensen and Ajer.

This is the market we should be working in.

 

It has been a good season so far apart from Europe which arguably where the most excitement is nowadays, I could stomach just about that loss in the qualifier but our EL performance was very poor, however I can see the possibility of a treble

 

Rogic and Tierney almost like new signings the way their playing

 

Signs that the manager can turn it around, will be backed and a feelgood factor seems to be creeping back, after the most exciting game in Scotland this year, and our best performance..

Also hints of certain big player's returning to form..

 

Our team taking shape before the qualifiers in the summer. We won't be in a situation where we'll have lost a player or two, or will be having to fit in a couple of news. Hopefully anyways. Gordon, Tierney, Jozo, Lustig, Bitton, Brown, Griffiths all guaranteed starts. So it's a good spine to start with and hopefully Erik will be the other CB. Then you have Johansen/Rogic as two good options from the number 10 role, after that it's finding the right wide men which will hopefully be clearer as to who they'll be in the coming months.

Last year we had to contend with losing Denayer at the end of his loan and knowing VVD wanted to leave. Also Izzy not being in great form, with us having to try and get Ciftci and Boyata into the team too. I think we're going to be in a much better shape this time round.

We're still much better than the rest in Scotland and that's about it really. If you're into the domestic treble thing, we're still in the cups as well.

Europe is finished so we don't have to worry about Scandinavian teams for 6 months:icon_mrgreen:

 

Chance of a treble, Tierney, Rogic, signs of heading in a positive direction in the transfer market. Excited about seeing Christie soon aswell but remains to be seen if/how much of a positive he will be for us.

 

Oh yeah, and Griffiths' scoring record!

 

A lot of homegrown talent as well. Something that barely gets a mention. Building a solid base for the future, with good ages. If we had 11 foreigners, we'd soon hear about it....and how we're not producing and giving our own a chance..

 

The rise of Griffiths is by far the most positive thing about this season . Can not believe the OP doesn't mention it.

 

Maybe Deila realized something and decided to nick some of their best players.

 

- Griffiths
- Tierney
- Defensive stability
- Couple of decent performances in Europe

 

In for the treble which is great, think the teams been playing well the last couple of games. The qualifiers probably killed every positive we could've taken from Europe but I thought we played really well against Fener and Ajax just unlucky not to win. Maybe because the team still had to settle maybe because we were unlucky, doesn't really matter anymore.
Think the team Deilas creating (created after this transfer window) is really really strong and think we'll definitely have a go in CL next season.

 

Tierney has been huge for me, not just appearing on the scene, but holding his place and was a stand out in some european games.
