I would probably guess between 25% and maybe about 14% probably between a goal every 4-7 shots, maybe roughly 20%ish, 14% would probably be about as bad as it gets and it would usually be someone who shoots all the time from all angles like Cristiano Ronaldo whos probably averaging about a goal every 12% of shots this season. More central box players like Aguero and Suarez probably average 4-6 shots per goal so about 17-25%

Hoopers average of a goal every 2.97 shots for us is basically unheard of anywhere for any team most players would be lucky to average a goal every 3 shots in one season in their careers but never over 3 seasons, what makes it even better is he only scored 2 penalties too, usually penalties might boost that stat if you are scoring 4-6 penalties a season that will improve your stats but Hooper didnt even average 1 penalty per season, Griffiths has already scored more penalties for us this season than Hooper did for us in total.

Cheers, I was thinking it was a good record. His stats against Sevco are fantastic and they were some quality goals too.

You might have already posted it but do you know their assist records?

Hooper assisted 33 goals and Griffiths 14 so far but Hooper played 53 more games also started near enough all his games where as Griffiths has been used as a sub about 25 times. so overall Hooper maybe started more than double the games Griffiths has.

Hooper was again consistent though got 11 assists, 12 assists then 10 assists in his 3 seasons, near enough the same each season.

Griffiths weirdly got 8 assists in his first 14 games the season he signed when Lennon was manager which is more than he has this season and last season combined even though hes played 71 games, he only has 6 assists under Ronny in those 71 games.

Might be down to Ronny's tactics though as Lennon was playing a narrow midfield at that time and let Grffiths and Stokes/Commons all mix about and rotate. Now nobody really gets in the box or plays around Griffiths for Griffiths to set anyone up, our wide players generally stay wide and do the setting up and Rogic whos mostly played in the hole this season never goes ahead of Griffiths even compared to Johansen last season.

Were they with or against the wind?
because that makes a huge difference to power & direction.

Hooper always looked like he could cut it at a higher level can't say the same for Griffiths unfortunately.

Agree Hooper was very clinical could never see him having a game like Griffiths did against Ajax.

It's hard to compare because Hoopers time with us is over but Griffiths is still playing here at the moment. Also worth remembering that Hooper played in a stronger team with better assists, I think personally that when both players careers are over more people will remember Griffiths name rather than Hooper :shamrock:

Hoopers record looks better and at times looked the better player, but, Griffs attitude on the pitch is better than Hoopers. You sometimes got the feeling Hoops couldnt be arsed trying.

Doubt Griff will want to leave anytime soon and will be on the road to 100 goals this time next year.

    Griffiths for me.

Skewed by the fact Hooper was always first choice from day 1.

Griff has only been, proper, first choice striker this season. And we're already seeing the benefits.

Don't know if that's skewed that Hooper was good enough to nail down his place from day 1? Griffiths kicked on massively last season.

Hooper didn't want to be here in the end and chose mid to lower end EPL football over playing with Celtic, whilst you get the feeling that you'd have to drag Griffiths kicking & screaming out of Parkhead.

For that very reason I'll take Griffiths every time.

Griffiths: 1 goal every 109th minute (5344 minutes, 49 goals)
Hooper: 1 goal every 135th minute (11060 minutes, 82 goals)

Griffiths: 1 goal or assist every 82nd minute (5344 minutes, 49 goals, 16 assists))
Hooper: 1 goal or assist every 99th minute (11060 minutes, 82 goals, 30 assists)

    Data from Transfermarkt

Griffiths wins it for me :50:
