    Agree with that.

It was clear from his comments when he first joined that his way of doing things and his belief in how the game should be played wouldn't be compromised for anything. Plenty of folk voiced their concerns about what that would mean for us in the CL group stage if he refused to adapt tactically.....little did we know we wouldn't even get there!

I completely agree, but i would add Tierney to that mix.

Not too many quality players in this side, then to be honest sometimes a new manager can invigorate players on the books. I expect that when finally Celtic's board realise they've appointed a manager way out of his depth.

I thought actually we were better after we went down to 10 men. We certainly created more chances in those last 20 minutes then in the previous 70 with 11 men.

And the opposition stopped playing 'siege mentality' football and started to leave space for our players to move the ball around in. It's nigh on impossible to play good football against an opponent who doesn't want to play at all. It's a perfectly valid tactic from opponents, but to blame us completely for boring football when it's opponents who are killing every single game is wrong. What we lack is that final talent/skill/luck/tactic to get in front and force them out.

Bang on.Had to laugh at Andy Walker for calling a team that play on the attack for 90% of the game, boring. Yet he'll be one of the 1st to complement the opposition for sitting in with the whole team 20 yards from goal.

It was us who had to be slightly more defensive, after the red card. Even then we were still being more proactive with the ball than Thistle were.

This argument above that we cannot be blamed for 'boring' football against an opponent that defends in numbers and counter attacks - bullshit.

That's about 95 percent of the teams that play us in Scotland. This is not a new thing. Under other managers with better players in the not too distant past - we'd slay these teams despite their 'keep it tight hit on the break' system.

Why can't people see this? See that we are being driven into the ground by an inferior manager? We need to stand up, be CELTIC, and show these teams how to play football. Teams that celebrate a draw as a victory against us. I have no respect for it. The manager must play with two up front and attack these * teams with vigour.

    Where is that?
We * foot around, ball left to right - no imagination - players playing on reputation of last season and not on form - and a manager who has no plan b) and praises anything, even a desperate last minute stoppage time winner - saying he hopes it'll galvanise the team....... Ronny - how about YOU galvanise the * team by adopting a system that allows us to exert our considerably better talents rather than stick stubbornly to a failing system?

Aberdeen used to play it tight and Neil Lennons side beat them 9 nil. Now they challenge us for the title. Our budget hasn't changed either. Two things have happened. They have gotten better but we have got much much worse. The amount we have dropped is far greater than the improvements on their end.

Do you find our brand of football exciting and attractive at the moment?

When the players are able to make the passes and the movement is better then, yes it is for me.

Quick question for those opposed to passing the ball around and switching the play from left to right trying to create space.

    What way should we play?

Better quality of player when we beat Aberdeen 9-0.

Direct football aimed to bypass the defensive block with balls crossed in from the wings, with the addition of many long range shots as an alternative way to further stress the opposition defense. Combine Mexico from the last World Cup with the style of the 90-s/early 00-s Germany.

Agree with the more shooting from distance. Gives them more scenario s to consider.

Direct football to bypass the defence?? I assume by this you mean moving the ball from defence to forwards quicker. Passes into channels between the centre-half and full backs etc???

Which requires the players to execute the techniques effectively??

Mostly balls out to the wings, and then quick crosses into a busy penalty box, with players swarming it just before the cross enters the danger zone. Possession by itself means nothing. I'll happily trade possession for speed and ferocity of attack. Sustained bombardment of the box with punted balls to put the opposition under stress is also possible. Something a la Strachan's Celtic when we had to get a goal.

Now, I understand people may consider this awful to watch, but it works, because we are in a harsh climate zone. Tiki-taka is impossible if the rain/snow is pishing down, with the add-on of wind and poor playing surfaces.

So not like we are playing at the moment?

I think we should move the ball with pace and focus our attack through the middle, quick interplay up top and control the midfield. Anyway we play we need to quicken the pace by far. Quick one-two's, more movement, more fluidity between players switching positions and going beyond the striker.

Right now our passing is slow, our movement is non-existent and our positioning is rigid. Makes for brutal football.

    18 Ki Sung-Yeung (Juarez 76)

Debatable and even if you are correct then it is marginal. The sheep have improved which should also be taken into consideration but that is one * of turnaround and if we are being honest the sheep havnt got that much better, at least not to that extent. Our current set up has a lot to answer for.

Tbh if I'd had to choose between that team and this team I'd probably choose this team.

Really? Ledley, Ki, Forster, Hooper, Izzy (better then than now), even maloney... I think those players are far better than what we have now.

That team just seems dull though, Just now although we aren't performing we have young players to be excited about, all be it I'd kill to have Ledley, Ki and Hooper back the rest of that team bar Forster jsut seems completely boring.

We might not be performing now but the team's more young and vibrant after this window we'll have a better idea what we're looking at, 3 players of similar quality to they 3 I mentioned and we have an exciting team on our hands especially with Christie coming in who I really believe will change all.
