Would be super, think of the half Celtic/Rangers strips we could sell! The merchandise opportunities.

Funnily enough, it appears to me that the likely strategy that Scottish football will follow in order to "improve" the game is a return to the old status quo! It would seem as though that's the grand-plan! Sevco filling the void of Rangers, and a return to the "Old Firm"... surely to * we should strive to escape that?!

Aye all those Dublin lads will be over the moon when they are able to get their second team's home shirt added to scousepool or man U's latest 'cool' strip :86:

This is only showing the first 5-6 games at the start of this season but it shows attendances being 10% up on last year http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/attn/avesco.htm

    I don't understand the point.

Does a 10% increase in the first 5 games of the 15/16 SPL season, which saw Hearts returning to the league, indicate that Scottish football isn't a shambles?

This is the strongest the SPL has been outside Celtic and Deadco, the last 3 years has saw Aberdeen build a strong that can compete with us (not challenge for the title yet), Hearts have rebuilt hugely using young players, United producing young talent, Inverness rising up etc. It's a very competitive league outwith ourselves and with Hibs coming up will get better.

I used to be a casual and went to games with Aberdeen casuals but I wasn't an aberdeen fan, hopefully that's ok with you, if its not am sure I will not worry about it in the slightest :50:

Did you not used to have an agenda against all things Scottish, oh that's right you are still peddling the myth for the epl fan boy's.

Seems like the half & half scouse/man u strips has hit a nerve with someone huh :smiley-laughing002:

In saying that we of course are limited in this league, the MON days are gone where we can compete financially and as most other leagues keep getting more money each year we stay the same so unless we get CL football every year for next 5 years aint much going to change except us bring through young players, developing them and selling on for a good fee.

EPL will give us more money but we would have to start at the bottom, if we were to go straight into EPL it's just like the club selling it's soul. Those away trips and ticket pricing would mean many fans would be limited to how many games we could afford to travel to.

So you went to Aberdeen games following Aberdeen... certainly sounds like an Aberdeen fan to me. :smiley-laughing002:

I dislike the stereotypical "Celtic's my second team" fan just as much as anybody else. I just thought it was a bit rich coming from someone like you. :50:
