Exactly, people get all annoyed at how teams play but forget the aim is to win games and win trophies. It might not have been pretty but Portugal have won the euros, if Celtic won the EL or the CL like that I honestly wouldn't give a *.

    Sounds spot on to me.

Renato has been brilliant, no idea how the manager had him on the bench first few games. Portugal looked a much better side with him on the park.

Looks like Bayern have got another top quality player on their hands.

    Pretty average tournament.

Wanted the French to win it, for the people mainly. Back to club football now!

Can't believe Portugal won it, they were on the verge of going out vs Hungary and they've only won one game in 90 minutes. :smiley-laughing002:

Still well done to them, unbelievable emotion from Ronaldo too he's won a lot and has so much money and yet you could see this was so so important to him.

I think he got over it fairly quickly. :smiley-laughing002:

Read the other day one of his previous managers believes that he's actually older than 18 and closer to 23/24, what do you make of that?

It was not one of his previous managers.:50: Not even a portuguese manager. It was Guy Roux, a french fella who already recognized his mistake and apologized. I could write a nice text explaining it all, but long story short the very classy Sporting president started that rumour a few months back, trying to stop Renato from leading Benfica to the title. Guy Roux just revived that story.

You can simply watch this video and tell me if he looks 16-17 or 6y older than his teammates.

He was born in Portugal, in Amadora.

French police have put out alerts warning people not to come to Eiffel Tower or Champs Elysees. They say the situation is not safe

    He's a cracking wee player.

I'm going to be brave here and say I'd rather have an 18 year old him than Pogba...dunno if anyone else would agree.

Based on what I've seen from them then I agree. Pogba, considering how highly he's rated, had a stinker of a tournament. Sanches looks like a cracking talent.

I'd still prefer Pogba to Sanches.

I thought Pogba was pretty poor tonight but people are being overly critical of him because of his ridiculous price tag.

I do like Pogba but when I have seen him recently he has just not impressed me at all. Maybe he is just one of those who doesn't perform at the same level for his country as he does for his club. However considering all the hype surrounding him prior to the tournament, he was a major disappointment.

Was almost trying too hard at times to impress, holding onto the ball too long.

I can see Sanches going to his level easily in the next couple years at Bayern, even surpassing him.

I'd have Kante or Payet over both.
