How come ITV have got Will Young and one of The Dubliners on their panel?

At least I won £85 tonight. Had a £5 on to make the semi at the start. Softens the blow a little.
    Tremendous effort all round.

Yeah they will, great achievement getting to the semi finals, credit to Portugal for getting to the final, although i think France or germany will have too much for them.

Ronaldo's ability to hang in the air is amazing .....................the * ! :icon_mrgreen:

Looking at Ian Rush and Mark Hughes there, can't help thinking how on earth does Wales, a rugby nation, keep producing amazing players?

Thought Portugal were comfortably the better side tonight. Even in a poor 1st half, while they had limited scoring chances, they still at least maintained possession better than Wales did. Even a normally composed ball player like Joe Allen got caught out on a few occasions early on.Ramsey was always going to be a big miss and Bale dropped so deep to try and create, he left Robson Kanu isolated against Fonte and Bruno Alves. Wing-backs were never a threat going forward.

A lot of which was down to how well the Portugese midfield worked so hard. Sanches and Joao Mario done a power of work doubling up (Rapahel and Cedric Soares dealt well when asked to 1v1)either side of the midfield diamond and Danilo was very good (quietly effective) in front of the defence. Ronaldo also at times dropped into the wide areas to help. Plenty has been made about Wales team-work and Portugal shown plenty of that tonight as well. Much of which will go unnoticed as our press will focus on Ronaldo(not a criticism of the individual by the way).

Adrien Silva as well in the midfield, very good.

All the best to Luz but I'm not happy about Portugal being in the final whatsoever. No wins in the group stages, beating Croatia in extra time with 1 shot after 120 minutes, beating Poland on penalties and a 2 minute lapse of concentration from Wales has sent them to the final. On top of this their manager has purposefully set them up to be as frustrating and boring as possible and has stated he doesn't really care if the football is entertaining.

I hope Germany/France make a mockery of them.

I know Aaron Ramsey was a big miss for Wales but I feel like they let themselves down with that performance tonight. They looked like a team who suddenly realised how close to the final they were. Their passing looked nervous and unconvincing, something you couldn't say about any of their other matches. Disappointing.

I have nothing to say about Portugal other than I hope they get roasted in the final.

Wales performance against Begium must go down as one of the best in their history, they can come away from the tournament with so many positives, unlike England, who were mince :icon_mrgreen:

    Superb tournament from Wales.

Very gutting to go out to that team as well.
Portugal can normally be a decent hard working side, but this tournament they have shown to be bang average (if not poor) and dull as *. If football was judged like boxing, they wouldn't have passed the first round.

Hopefully Germany/France do them over, two best teams in the tournament. Surely one of them will manage to destroy this mob?
