    One of the things I would sugges that could make extra time more exciting, more relevant, would be to reduce players periodically.

    Break the 30 min into 3 sections of 10 min. Still play as 2x15, but 10min in the 2 teams lose a player when ball goes out of play.

    Say after 90 min, the 2 teams have to go down to 10 men each.
    The 10 min into extra time, they go down to 9 each.
    Then after 20 min, they go down to 8 each.

    Anyone want to tell me that 8v8 is not going to create opportunities etc.

    Just think of the drama, as the managers having to make crucial decisions... who to sacrifice at each of these reductions? Lose a defender because you are going for the win? Take off a player that is having a shocker but is capable of a moment of brilliance to win a game, etc. The potential is there for some drama and so much debate!

    Not to mention that if a team has already had a player sent off etc, it realy puts the screws on them as numbers become fewer and fewer. Or player's fitness maybe, just maybe, being rewarded for having those few extra yards in them at the end.

    Oh, and the best bit - the games are settled on playing football, as opposed to the lottery of penalties.

    I can't see Belgium having a problem beating Wales. *, even England beat Wales and look how gash they were. I think Wales have done brilliantly to get to this stage, but this is as far as they go. I wouldn't mind if Wales did win though, but I just hope wheover wins this game destroys Portugal in the semi as Portugal's games in the main have been terrible to watch, so I don't want them in the final.

    Wales froze against England and it still took a last minute goal to beat them. They still topped the Group.

    Wales got the better of Belgium in qualifying and not only that, anyone that watched the game will tell you they were actually the better side.

    Bale to be the difference maker IMO.
