It has to be England. Fast and flowing football all round. Look a tremendous side and they have no reason to fear anyone.

 

Spain for me. Still think Croatia will go very far as well..

I think England are in with a very good shout.

 

Not at all. They have a young and hungry side. You saw the passion from that last minute wonder goal from Sturridge.

Combine that hunger with the pace and all round quality of this England side and you have a fantastic team.

 

Nobody has really kicked into gear yet. Think it's probably going to be the Italians at this stage. Been a very defensive tourny and they've got the best defence here.

 

They'll come unstuck against the first canny side they meet, I think. They do have pace but they're a nit naive and have a fair few players playing out of position.

 

It has worked though. Rooney has been immense. The only flaw is Sterling, the most overated player in the history of football.

 

I forgot these fandans were playing later. Another Hart blunder and Hamsik masterclass will do nicely..

Rooney hasn't been immense at all. They've had good possession but they struggled to actually get any service into Harry Kane.

The full-backs fly forward, and Rooney & Alli are a bit suspect when they have to defend. The first team that tests their midfield out of position and exploits the full-backs will have a fair bit of joy.

They do have an outside chance, though.

 

Pure tekkers

 

The way this tournament is going, England have as good a chance as anyone. Just needs them all to click and you never know.

I've actually enjoyed the Poland performances, think they pass the ball about well and look sharp going forward, similar to Croatia really.

 

Defensively they are pish. They've come up against 2 team's who've barely tried to attack, yet still conceded in both game's and only won one of them..

It was always a group they were easily expected to win on paper, and that should still happen (although we all know what happens when they get ahead of there selves) . I'll hold judgement till the day they face anyone half decent in the knockouts, who'll ultimately pap them out.....and get back to our excitable English forum members (chuckle chuckle)..

 

England are an average team. Very little end product.

I picked Italy as they are defensively sound and a quality tournament team, if you'll excuse the cliché.

 

The problem is they don't have time to rely on this "we'll get better" assumption. This isn't a 38 game league or even the Champions' League; they're already into the knockout stages. I'd even fancy the English against them at this rate.

 

I think you're jealous that England are actually in the Euros and Scotland aren't.

Come on McGuire you are better than that.

 

I still think it's between Spain, Germany and France.
