Has to go down as the biggest disappointment of the tournament so far that one.

Yeah it was disappointing but still had plenty going on. :smiley-laughing002: I don't mind games with maybe only a goal in them if there are chances and both teams going at it, plenty gong on, etc.

Hard to pick a winner too because all the games have been close and most would have gone either way depending on who got the first goal.

No players took any game by storm either, few decent displays but nothing of note really, no-ones scored a few goals or ran riot in a game at all.

Saying that, I'm watching these games on my Ritalin so maybe that's I'm the only one enjoying the tourney so far! :smiley-laughing002:

Is it not just the case that all the teams in the tournament are just well organised and are all decent sides? It's all well and good watching a hammering when a player gets a hat trick etc. but more often than not a big scoreline means one of the teams are *. The margins are definitely a lot finer nowadays in international football.

It's funny because England seem to be the team that commits the most bodies forward when they attack, the other teams still like to keep a nice shape about them so they don't get hit on the counter. It's typical international football for the most part, teams trying to stay in a game rather than really going for it. Germany actually try to score but they don't really have a striker and that effects their whole build up play as Gotze doesn't have the movement or hold up play of a top striker. Spain are suffering from similar issues. The fast majority of the other teams seem more "we best not lose" than "let's go all out to get goals". A lot of goals seem to be from either set-pieces, a defensive/goalkeeping error or just a moment of brilliance.

Just being playing about with a predictor, think someone mentioned this earlier

If England top their group they could end up playing Poland or N.Ireland. Sure their fans would behave themselves...

I've enjoyed it so far. I think it's wide open for an 'outsider' to pull off an upset. I fancy Croatia to win it.. If not, then Spain or Italy have been most impressive.

I didn't think Spain were anything special.

Teams have them sussed now that is the problem. I reckon Italy will be a tough nut to crack.

Seem to all know their role well and Conte and that back 4 are very familiar.

I was just impressed by them because I Really wasn't sure what Spain would turn up. They looked good and would have won easily if Cech wasn't on fire.

Match Day 3 will hopefully be quite interesting where some teams have to win to qualify or to finish top of the group etc, but it has been technical and defensive on the whole so far.

Think the Italians and the French are looking pretty solid and will go far in it, I was also impressed by the Polish last night few good players in there team, Milik had a few chances which he made an * of, but also had some nice play on the build up. Never looked an outstanding player but looked up his record for Ajax, 21 goals in 31 appearances, good return, he only cost them 2.8 million euros from Leverkusen as well.
